Its yardsale time! only the moneys for Vegas!

DH and I decided this weekend, that this coming Saturday is THE DAY!

DH's store is on a major roadway- and has a beautiful front yard- the actual store sits back about 500 feet from the roadway and has a huge front grassy yard. His store, is open from 8-12 (only people who own mobile homes will be there, as he's a "home depot" for mobile homes...its not a convienience store etc.)

We went through the shed- have the 2 powerwheels barbie jeeps- and the powerwheels cartoon network punch bug thing....little tikes outdoor house, peddle car, wagon,

3 bikes with training wheels, 2 tricycles, a huge playhut collapsable house ( you know the kind you twist, and it folds up for storage)..

DD's outgrown clothes- from 4T thru 6/6x all 4 seasons....3 Columbia Girls snow jackets- 3 pair Columbia ski bibs, these coats were 200 bucks each!....uugghh oh well, they were warm!

The kitchen set the girls got 4-5 years ago- the fridge, stove, washer/dryer/snack cart all little tykes...the little tykes kids rocking chair- 1 pink, 1 purple...2 little tykes grocery carts..

A HUGE pile of more stuff!

So today, I took a mental health day from work, and washed/folded ironed all the clothes (ironed my clothes for sale, not the kids) I tagged everything, I put the car's chargers on the batteries,

I cleaned out under the cellar stairs- found my old ab roller thing, DH's weight bench, my old aerobic step...

I'm hoping that this yardsale will make me enough for my plane ticket to Vegas! It's a girls only trip, and I'm trying not to cut into family finances, or family vacation $$...

At the end of this yardsale- anything left, either goes to goodwill, or to the landfill...clothes, and useable toys etc.. will go to goodwill, and the rest of the crap will go to the landfill- its on the way home, THANK GOD!...all I know is I told DH- its not coming home with us!

As a resident of Vegas---good luck with your yard sale, and subsequent donation <oops> VACATION to Vegas!!! LOL!!!!!

Girls only trips are so great. I try to not dip into family funds for that type of thing, too!

Sounds like you will do well. You have lots of sought after items!
We are moving in 3 weeks and had our big "We don't want to move this crap" sale last Saturday. Cleared over $500 and we only had two boxes for trash and two for Salvation Army and they are both gone! It feels good to get rid of that stuff.

Try to put an ad in the paper highlighting some of your items. I advertised my kids clothes since I usually consign them and marked them a little higher than I normally would. Almost every piece sold. DD's Osh Kosh snow suit, in excellent condition, went for $20 (even though some guy asked me to take $2. Yeah right!).

And enjoy your ladies only Las Vegas trip! A friend and I usually do one each year, but since we went to both Las Vegas and WDW last year, we decided not to go this year. Saving for next year!

I have gone on several "girls only" Vegas trips. Got one planned for next year. "Girls Only" trips are so much fun!

Good luck with your yard sale. I too am saving for a Vegas trip Oct 7-11 with DH and his softball team for tournament. I am sure we will have a great time. Although the girls only trip sounds much more fun. LOL When are you going?
