I try not to complain as often as I did when I first started but boy am I getting down in the dumps.
I started on Atkins on June 9th. I lost 6 lbs the first two weeks, then gained 6 lbs the next week doing the same exact diet. I think it may have been my TOM, but I don't remember, all I remember back then was how frustrated I was. I stayed on induction for about 2 months and never lost anything else but I stuck to it. Induction the entire time.
I did the fat fast and lost 10 lbs. Had my thyroid checked and that was ok.
I am still doing very low carb, mostly just the meat, eggs, chicken, fish, and a very small salad every eve because I got yelled at by you guys for not putting adding salad after the first month. I also endulge by having my tea and toast (low carb bread) or an Os-cal roll on Sunday morning instead of my eggs.
I did go to WDW in Sept for 4 days and ate whatever I wanted. I didn't eat as much as I have in the past but I didn't give up my margarita or my enchilada and cheese quesidilla either. I gained 4 lbs but it left quickly after a week on induction foods back home.
I have gone from a tight size 16 to comfortable size 12, but the weight is not coming off.
I started at 192 and I am now 170. I keep reading how you all are doing so great, but I am at 20 lbs after being on fairly strict Atkins for what is now my 23rd week.
If I eat the Russell Stover candies I gain a lb or two but it leaves quickly when I avoid it, so it doesn't kill me to indulge once in a while. By once in a while I am talking about 2 pieces of RS truffle on the first TOM day when I would rather kill than give up my chocolate.
I am happy with the change in size but today on TV they did a piece on weight and said at the highest, a 5'5 woman should be 145 lbs. I am 170, and not losing.
I did walking when the weather was warmer but if it gets below 65 I don't go outside. I am a Florida body being punished by living in CT. I do the 3 mile WATP 3 to 5 times a week.
Someone tell me what I am doing wrong please. Peggie

for you, Peggie! You're trying so hard! I really think a little tweaking of your percentages and you'll see results! Hang in there!
