Severe weather warning from the Met Office for Hampshire eastwards, along the South coast, and up towards London and the Home Counties tonight for thunderstorms and torrential rain.

Just had a flash of lightning here, the thunder was quite loud and now its raining quite hard!

Well, I will add my two cents worth here. I'm in New Hampshire but moving on over Thursday. I will say I am looking forward to the weather being a bit milder.Its only -6 C but the sun is shining.Your springtime weather seems to come a bit sooner than ours and we are expecting snow and sleet tonight. I am pretty much through with winter and I am really looking forward to my journey to join you all over there where my husband says the grass is growing already. I cant even see my grass as its covered with about 8 inches of snow.

Oh I would love 8 inches of snow on my grass! Hate this wet, dull and depressing weather we have been having all winter, much prefer crisp, sunny and snowy days.

My husband feels the same way as you. He misses the snowfalls he remembers as a child. I keep saying, yeah a few mornings of getting up an hour early to shovel out and clear off your car in windchills of -20 F (I dont even want to know what that is in Cel.) and then driving with all the other overly grumpy sleepy people and then getting to work to START your day, and you would get over that pretty fast.
