So, I figured some of you other budget boarders could share in my excitement.

My DS3 is still in diapers. I hate going to buy them. Anyway, I saw online Target had Huggies on sale. I searched online and found a $3 off coupon for 60 ct or larger. I went to Target and the ones on sale were the small packs. I think there were like 26 in a pack so I couldn't use the coupon. So, I went to the bigger packages. Apparently, they are now selling 96 ct. but way in the back was a 112 ct marked for clearance. Originally it was $35 on clearance for $30. Figured, great, I can get the whole pack for $27 so it would be 24 cents a diaper. But, when it rang up it rang up at $25 so I got them for 19 cents a diaper! I was so excited~! Sadly, I could only find one package. :rolleyes1 Told my DH and he just doesn't get why I get excited about "these things" so I thought I would share here.

Yay! I love it when that kind of thing happnes! DS3 is still in pull-ups (diapers at night), too, so I feel your pain. I finally registered for the Amazon Mom's club plus Subscribe and Save and now I get them shipped to my house for pretty cheap. But sometimes I can beat the price by using coupons on the clearance packs at the store. I tried having DS go right into underear (he could care less about potty training) - I figured he would train faster if he could feel that he was wet - but, he doesn't mind sitting in sopping wet underwear and I was just running up my water and electric bill from all the extra laundry. So we are holding off on the potty training until he shows some more interest. Sometime I feel like he is going to go to college in diapers!

My dr advised against pullups because he said they feel like diapers. Back in the rubber pants/diaper day kids did seem to learn a lot faster. My nephew wanted big boy pants and was trained by 2, maybe that would motivate him. I read in the paper due to pulp and gas paper products including diapers will be going up so at least you're near the end of the diaper stage.

I had one that was 3 and a cpl of months, the only thing that got him to finally get with it was when he made a mess, he had to immediately stop what he was doing and take a longggggggg bath , because it is dirty to potty on yourself I explained ; ) Annoyed the heck out of him because he had to stop playing or watching movie etc. I also turned the air down low in house, and only let him have a pair of undies to wear, big boys get their pants back when they learn how to potty I explained. Two days of being annoyed and chilly in house without pants and we were done. You might want to try , if you are really ready to be done, it could work for you too.

Totally off topic , sooo back to topic, YAY OP !! I love a good bargain too !!

:thumbsup2 OP, our brains must think alike, because I TOTALLY get your excitement! Great Find!!

buy diapers on amazon even without the coupons they are cheaper than in store. I cloth diaper but when we go out i use disposables and i have gotten them down to 10 cents per diaper with coupon or 16 without.

What is this? Can't believe I didn't know this. I have just always gotten them at the store. Deflates my bubble a bit I didn't know this.

Using Amazon Mom at Amazon.com you can get a case of Huggies, Size 5, 120 count, for $22.63 delivered to your door! Of course, they also sell other brands as well, but Huggies were what we used until DS pottytrained himself last month.

Phew..makes me feel a bit better. Although, I may have missed out on a few years it appears my find was a bit better financially. He is in size 6 and I got the case for $22. I am still going to look and see if it benefits me again. Thanks for the tip!

The size 6 are $22.93 a case delivered, no coupons, and no driving to the store and hoping to find some on clearance. I used to obsess over finding coupons for Huggies before Amazon Mom.

I had the $3 off huggies coupon, but it was off the jumbo packs (the small pack). I was able to buy 3 packs & use 3 coupons, plus I got a $5 Target gift card for buying 3 packs :thumbsup2. My daughter is in size 4 and it worked out to be about $0.14/each diaper.

Also at Amazon you don't have to pay tax :thumbsup2. I always buy the diapers at Amazon when I get the extra 20% off coupon in the Parents magazine. Best deal ever!

Question...how did they let you use the coupons on the small packs? I was thinking of doing that but the small packs (really the jumbo packs) didn't have the minimum of 62 in them.

All I read was jumbo pack on the coupons (wasn't aware of a quantity) and gave them to the cashier. The computer accepted them all so I assume they were for the right packs.

Maybe they are different coupons? Did you print yours online?

When DD was in diapers, it was my biggest challenge to get the best deal on diapers so OP, I feel your excitement too!!!!! :woohoo: :yay: :cheer2: :cool1:

ETA - although I think you can find great deals with amazon mom, it's not always the cheapest for diapers. We used Huggies Little Movers. At TRU, we could get a box of 124 for $31.50 which comes out to $.25 per diaper. We would use coupons & only buy then when TRU had a "buy 2 value boxes get a $15 gift card" deal. We would keep the gift card & apply it to our next diaper purchase. Currently, with the amazon mom 30% discount, I would pay $.29 per diaper.
