My two favorite things about the holiday season...watching National Lampoons Christmas Vacation which I own on DVD. And the other is making Chex Mix! My roomate and I are addicted and he says I make the best. :) Since the beginning of November I've made 14 batches of it. I refuse to put in the wheat chex, I'm straight rice and corn Chex only. I add pretzels, peanuts and honey roasted peanuts. What do you put in your chex mix? I'm curious if anyone makes any cool variations of it. My roomates mom uses cherrios in hers along with the ocassional splash of red pepper.

I don't believe that I've ever made Chex mix. Now that dh and I have given up refined carbohydrates forever, I doubt I ever will.

I LOVE National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation!!! :) Great movie! :teeth: Haven't watched it yet this year.

As for Chex mix... I am not sure that we actually sell Chex here in Canada or not (I don't think so, but am not 100% positive)... but we make our similar homemade mix with Crispix instead... and add Cheerios, Pretzels and sometimes Shreddies.

Earlier this year my mom made me a special kind just the way I like it and sent it to me at school.
I like the rice and corn chex, pretzels, and peanuts..i cannot stand the wheat chex

I add all kinds of stuff too. M&M's being a favorite. :D

My mother-in-law used to put Goldfish crackers in hers.

Yummy! I think I will make some tonight
