It's taking shape...

So after a week of surfing etc, we HAVE decided to go again next summer (God Bless my credit card).

Louise wants to do a week at WDW and a week at the beach. I'd rather do two weeks at WDW, but you knew that already

Anyway, I have a fly drive quote from the TCD web site for £2000 leaving Manchester on the 19th of August, and I'm looking at the Days Inn at DTD.



So questions-

1. Anyone stayed at Days Inn near Downtown Disney? Seems to be in a great location and is fairly cheap.

2. Any advice for the beach half of the holiday. Ideally I want to do Busch Gardens during that beach week, so somewhere in that direction would be good.

Or maybe we'll do 10 days at WDW and 4 at the beach

I'm in the 4 days at the beach camp Craig

You could consider Clearwater Beach or St Petes and get to Busch Gdns from them. We stayed at Clearwater Beach and visited Busch from there.

Further down the Gulf Coast you have Sarasota and there is a great beach at Siesta Key but these are not so convenient for Busch.

I'd go for the 10 day/4 day thing too- we have stayed in Clearwater before and liked it, Busch Gardens was about 45 mins drive (from memory). I've never been to St Pete's but people I know that have been there and to Clearwater say St Pete's is best?

It is nice to relax for a few days after the hecticness of the parks (but IMO it's good to leave the beach resort early on the last day and pay a final visit to WDW before going to the airport - we also find this distracts us from the horribleness of the last day!)

Please can we have another Trip report though?!
