Its still raining here!!!

We have been very lucky compared to other areas near Orlando where there is severe flooding but this rain is incessant in the 17 times we have been here.. we have never seen rain like this!

Yesterday we even left the area and went to tampa to try and get away from the rain..... (we mostly managed to miss it)

Hopefully Fay is finally on the move today and the sun can shine again.

Disney in the rain is fun for an afternoon...maybe even a day.. but we are on day 4 of torrential rain with vitually no let up! Believe me.... its not so much fun!!!

The good news is that anyone coming in now should be fine as Fay seems to be moving and we are back to normal rain patterns once she has moved on.



Please spare a thought for all the floridians affected by the terrible flood waters.. its shocking to watch on the news - and pray that fay moves on quickly and the rain stops so that the flood waters subside.

Hope the weather improves. We saw more rain in July than in the previous years but no way as bad as Fay appears to have been. I think it is easier to cope if it rains then has sunshine before it rains again, but constant rain for 4 days must have been a nightmare.

Just got back after 22 days.......Never seen rain like it. They even waived the toll charges on the roads !!!!!!
Still...I am about to start looking for hotel next year (already booked a 4 night cruise)

Yes I know what you mean, 14 times for us and this is the worst we have seen. We have been here 2 weeks and have had poor weather for ten or eleven days!, not what you expect in August. At least its picked up yesterday and today (today was an absolute scorcher) so hopefully we should have at least some colour before our return on Friday.

Easter for us next year, not so hot but presumably less precipitation!.

good to hear the rain is letting up a bit. We are flying out from Cape Town tonight, arriving tomorrow. It's been raining here at home, so i want to get away from the stuff for a while

We had a hurricane a few years ago, it was wet and it does start to get you down a bit, glad it is better. Only Fl does rain like FL!!
