We have a good coating on the ground and are expected about 4" today . It is supposed to be in the 60's by the end of the week though.

Unfortunately, down here our unusually hot summer is lingering into the "nice" season. That doesn't mean I want snow, but some cooler air would be nice.

We're supposed to get a mix of rain and snow tonight too.. Granted, I'm still in the mountains - at the lake - but this is ridiculous for Columbus Day!!

Then again, the weather has been weird ever since I arrived here last April..

At work we had about an inch on the ground, got home-8 miles south of work, nothing. We had HUGE flakes at work. It is really pretty but it is only OCTOBER--knock it off already.

My mom lives in Rochester and sent me a pic from her cell phone of her front yard covered in snow.

She was very disgusted. We're about 4 hours east of her and just rain here in WI.

That's where we are too!! Lots of accidents today as people forgot how to drive in bad conditions.

It's a strong El Nino winter this year for the midwest & east-- has nothing to do with global warming, and more-so the temps of the ocean waters. My advice -- move out west!

We are predicted to have a warmer than average winter because of El Nino-I'll stay put thanks. I love winter (until about March then I want spring). I would miss the change of seasons.
