I was worried about not being able to get up the driveway tomorrow, so I decided that at the very least, I should go outside and turn my car around. Well, I should have thought through the process a bit more before I did what I did.

We have had a lot of rain over the past couple of days and the ground is pretty saturated. The snow is accumulating on the grass, trees, cars, mailboxes, and our roof. I decided to pull the car into the front yard and just do a quick turn around instead of going around the block to back down our driveway. Um, big mistake, HUGE! :headache:

My car got stuck. I tried to go further into the yard and attempt different paths, but it only got me stuck in other areas. Corey tried to help me, but she really wasn't dressed for it, so we came inside to regroup. She called AAA and she got dressed for the attempt to push me out of the 5 to 6 inches of mud that my car was sunken into. After about 20 minutes of struggling and pushing, we freed the car. :woohoo: Our neighbor's yard is a little tracked through, which we are going to have to repair. She said it was ok to go through there, thank God. Corey is all proud of herself for pushing the car out of the mess. Frankly, as messy as it is, I was pretty much resigned to the fact that we were going to have to get a tow truck.

So, in the end, the car was backed down the driveway and hopefully, I will have a better chance of being able to get out to go to work in the morning. And as always, Corey is my hero! :lovestruc

Not snowing here yet - where are you guys Lindy?

yikes - it shouldn't be snowing there!!!

Weather here is gorgeous right now but after many, many years of living 6 miles from the paved road, I've developed a multpronged strategy for dealing with stuck vehicles.

Plan A: Stay home... and swear.
Plan B: Carry 50# of Kitty-litter in your trunk or truck bed to put under your drive wheels... and swear.
Plan C: Cut tree branches and lay them crossways in front and as far under your drive wheels as possible... and swear.
Plan D: Carry a nylon tow strap (stretchier and snappier that chain), rely on the kindness of strangers... and swear.
Plan E: Give up, flounder my way home... and swear...a lot.

Glad you got out OK! :thumbsup2

Ahhhh, self sufficient women. Nothing better in this world!!

North Georgia and it's snowing that heavily? YIKES. Maybe I'd better try watching the weather channel... :scared1:

I wanted snow! I got screwed!

Me too!

I have this really nasty icy mixture. Sounds like someone is peppering my windows with bb gun pellets. Luckily, I have this handy dandy laptop and can "work" from home today...

We got about 7 inches at home overnight - at work there's less but it's coming down hard again.

It's going to be 65 today and sunny. In the 80's by Tuesday I think.

*ducks and runs*

I've got my shovel out......

For yard work!

Move over, I need to duck and cover with you! :rotfl2:

Thanks to the lovely snow.... My Ex is stuck in Maine with his lady. No filing my divorce tomorrow :(. He rescheduled the appt.

and to think... I didn't even get snow out of it!
