It's only 400 T-shirts

Good morning DISboard mates,

I just did some mathematics this morning and realized it will only take 400 sold T-shirts to reach the goal of $10,000. We can do that for the kids. I have my two on the way, have you ordered yours? Also, listen to the January 8th(?) special edition show about GKTW and you will order a shirt. This is a great place and I look forward to supporting it in the future.

I love my shirt!!

But even better is knowing that all the money goes to such a fantastic place! The GKTW podcast tour was wonderful- I felt like I was right there with them all the way.
And I learned so much too. I didn't realize that they use volunteers so much. I have taken our Boy Scouts to WDW twice in the past (from NJ) and that would have been a terrific thing for us to do. I encourage others with youth groups or such to look into helping them out- serving a meal, etc.

I have my shirt, and I'm proud to wear it. I have to admit, I'm shocked that they haven't sold out already. Goodness knows there are way more than 400 podcast listeners!

I remember how fast that TSM meet was sold out.

It's for a great cause! It's really the least we can do to show our support for the team and for the kids.

It's not just across the pond. It's outside the US. It would double the cost to get the shirt to Canada between shipping and taxes. I suppose we could figure out some way to buy it now and have it shipped to our resort the next time we're in WDW but I don't think it is fair to add the extra burden on the podcast team.

Update: I wanted to add that this is my problem and not the podcast teams. I think Pete and the crew are doing a wonderful thing raising money for GKTW. I'm just frustrated that there isn't a cost effective way for me to join in.

Yes Mouse Skywalker, that was me, and you have a keen sense of awareness to pull that out.

So now that I have been found out, I need to apologize to the DISboard world for my terrible grammer. And take this counsel, always EDIT before pushing the send button. I felt sorry for Pete trying to verbalize his way through that letter. On the lighter side, those I have shared this with all got a big laugh listening to it.

But in the heart of it is a new desire to help the families. What a great organization.

I forgot, yes, I am registered for the half marathon, as well as my son and his girlfriend. And at our daughter's engagement party yesterday I generated interest in a few other people as well (plus a few "why do you have to go to Florida to run, can't you just run around town?" comments from the "unbelievers").

We will try to get a Grand Villa at SSR for the weekend.
