It's Official! Tusker House turning into TS

According to the Disney Link, TH is going to be converted into a buffet. Breakfast will be called, "Donald's Safari Breakfast", then lunch/dinner also buffet will not be character meals. It will have indoor and outdoor seating. It did not state when these changes will be completed.

Well, it did not mention Donald's Breakfastosaurus , maybe the quality will remain the same and perhaps they'll go back to the old carrot cake many have raved about. They seem to have done quite well with the chicken and salmon up to this point.

We didn't have the pleasure of experiencing Alien Encounter, but I will say that for a relative newbie to Disneyworld, only having been twice, they are taking me too fast. With as you've stated several changes all at once. Oh well, maybe it is for the better. After all many have complained about the lack of table service restaurants in AK.

Thanks for the information! I wonder when they're going to start taking reservations. I'm going in December, and I was planning to book DOnald's Breakfastosauraus, but I'd rather book at Tusker House. But I have a feeling this means a change-I can't believe that Donald would eat breakfast at two different places in the same park.

The info said that Donalds Breakfastosauraus will be discontinued and will only be a counter service establishment. Maybe they did this because Tusker House is larger than the Restaurantosauras - it is a shame, we really enjoyed Tusker House

Why do they want to mess with things that are not broken? Reminds me of 'Ohanas, why change? Tusker House if our favorite CS in AK. Husband loves the Salmon and rice with veggies.

Kind of off the subject how far is Ak from WCC Dh said he'd like to try thier breakfast after reading this news.

If I'm not mistaken, WCC and AK are pretty much at opposite ends of the property. Probably at least a 20 minute bus ride.
