Ok, after everything that has been going on this week....these would be TOTALLY worth it!!!!!!!

Yuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

I can't get over how pretty they are! The green glass-looking thing on the second dessert is just gorgeous. I also love the little strawberry tower with all of the layers and the gold strawberry! WOWWWWWWWWWWWWIE! I don't think they make desserts like that in stinky Jerzy. lol

At this junction of my life, I am happy to find a clean spoon to eat the Ben and Jerry's out of the carton!

Have you been swinging from the high tension wires?
I really should know better. I've been around here a bit so I really shouldn't be reading the boards while drinking my coffee. But I wasn't planning on this one and starting choking on my coffee. Thankfully, coffee doesn't burn quite as much as soda when it comes out of your nose  Mornin' Kevin, mornin' Nikki.

-hurl- Ewwwwwwwwwwwwww!

That's almost as bad as Sean INSISTING on eating escargot at least once every WDW trip! Yuck!

Hey!! I happen to like escargot!!

Holy cow! Kris, this is even better!

Those look Amazing :scared1:

Almost too pretty to eat (but not quite)

You don't need a spoon, it's chunky ::yes::

Nikki. I was so sorry to hear that you won't make it to DAP as you are due right around then. I hope your brood loves cool whip as much as you. (see two can play). Rofl.

I knew Lori was going to post that. lol.

I still think it's just ridiculous about the seating whether or not it is a "grazing" event. I'll graze, but need to sit for a few minutes here and there. They should offer that option.

I keep posting that every time you kvetch, doll. But I do agree that you should be able to sit down periodically. The only thing I have to ask, do people ask if they could sit until the other people return to the table? I know others who were not seating with me and my friends allowed it. I asked them about it when I ran into them during the party. And yes, other people will turn you down flat.

This was not our experience AT ALL.

We were herded into a pre-event waiting area and when the curtains parted, there was a stampede for the limited number of tables and chairs. These tables were guarded like a lioness guards her "kill".

There were 4 of us attending (John, Kathy, her daughter Katie and myself). We finally found a "stand up" bar table and scouted for chairs and / or barstools all evening. 90 minutes after the even began, we were offered a regular chair that we shared for the duration of the evening. When sitting in the chair, the table was at ear level and I'm 6'5". This is not a comfortable way to share food, wine or conversation.

Yes, I called it the Running of the Bulls in one of my food reports. Last year, we really needed to be "those people" because my friend's mother really did need to have the guaranteed seat, while the rest of us would have been able to stand if needed.

As I watched the room, someone ALWAYS stayed at each and every table. People would either take turns or they would bring each other food samples.

Yes, because people don't want to lose their seats completely. However, I do know that some people are rude and won't let you sit if you ask them, but others will let you sit temporarily until their party returns. As I said to Nikki, the friends I ran into who sat at a different part of the room let strangers sit when needed. Could be more the exception than the rule, though.

Maybe we were there on a very crowded night, but thats not the feedback I've gotten. I have been told that the only way to do this is to arrive early and have everyone in your group dash in opposite directions when the curtain is parted. When one person snags a table big enough for everyone, call the others and let the other tables go.

The venue was not overly crowded and we never waited in line more than a minute or two. We should have had the opportunity to sit at least once in a while. This was after all a three hour event.

The issue was that there were enough seats for approximately half of the attendees. in my opinion, there was virtually no reason not to have more tables WITH chairs. In my opinion, EVERY person attending the event should have the option of a seat at a table. Whether you choose to take advantage of that seat is entirely your choice....but you should have the choice.

I agree that Disney has done a poor job at having a seat to guest ratio. It's been a pet peeve from prior years.

And the idea of charging extra for the opportunity to sit at an already overpriced event smacks of the worst kind of price gouging.

I have to say that you will be able to ice skate in Hades before I would ever attend this even again, unless the policies change.

Oh, don't you love that? The foodies on the F&WF thread on the Restaurant board had a field day with that. IMHO, I thought it smacked of Paris Hilton (and who wouldn't want to smack her?) when the Disney marketing for the Wine View Room or whatever it was called mentioned you "could see or be seen". Bleh. I don't need people to watch me stuff my face.

Oh, and this is the first time since 2003 that I have decided to skip the PFTS. I found that I have a couple other things I'd rather spend money on if they oversell/overcomp it like they have in the past couple years.

Now I sort of wish my trip was pushed up a couple weeks, just so I can make you eat some "snail poppers". I love those l'il buttery critters in the cute l'il brioche cups. :cloud9:

And if you think those other Todd English's bluezoo™ dessert were cool, they used to have a dessert that looked like a cheeseburger and fries. Totally messed with my head when my friend ordered it. I didn't want to try it because of sensory confusion.

One day I'll figure out the multi-quote option. I've been on here for years and still am dumb as a doornail when it comes to it!

I don't think that people should HAVE TO ask complete strangers if they could temporarily sit down. That should totally not be the case. Instead, more then enough chairs should be readily available for everybody.

More fuel for the "More Chairs Needed" promo from above.

I honestly don't think I could eat that either. It'd totally mess with my head.

Oh, and good luck trying to get me to eat snails. NOT GUNNA HAPPEN! You could hogtie me and I'd still fight ya back! :lmao:
