It's Official: "Everest Month Extended 2 weeks!"

Just saw this in the newsletter on the VMK home page. I guess we have a couple more weeks to get ice and good credits!

I was wondering if the tracks will stay or if that will go away too?
From the way the newsletter was worded I had hoped the good credits would stay but then again you never can tell.

Ice is good, credits are good, but they really need to keep the tracks permanently! I hope they do; it would seem to be in the best interests of the game to continue to let people build rides! And after all they keep the river pieces around, so let's hope they do they same for the yeti pieces.

Darn, to be honest I was looking forward to it being over. After the competition, if I never see another piece of track or ice it will be too soon! I was really looking forward to seeing what Villain month had in store, and I know all the Pirate fans that played before the ice were looking forward to the dock being less crowded...Oh well.

It makes sense that vmk extended the everest month an additional two weeks -- if only for the fact that the third finale level of their yeti game was not released before the end of the month! Yea, I would almost want to make a bet on this. Egg on their face!

Well maybe they having been reading our rants on the different sites and realized that we spent two week building our rides and how much credits we spent so they are letting us recoup our losses.

Once again leave it to VMK to fuel the speculation as to "what exactly does two more weeks mean". Ok so Ice and Suits stick around, but will the credits stay or go....again here we are left to sit and wonder.

I might be wrong but if I remember correctly, the original newsletter said that games were giving more credits AND for the month of February there would be some extra prizes for some of the games (which we all discovered was ice). I got the indication that the credits were here to stay.

When reading the newsletter you are 100% correct....it implies that credits will stay. In reality though....who knows what will happen. It would be nice for something concrete, however that would take more than 5 minutes to post on a Webpages so we are left to wonder.

Yeah, I agree with both of you it gives the indication to any logicly thinking person that credits will stay ... but was the ice not supposed to be there ALL month and gone today? When have they ever not spoken in riddles to give us unclear information. I sure somewhere they have given us a hint or clue what they really mean, Maybe the Yeti knows!? Ever Wonder why you can't say hint or clue in vmk?

It smells like they're not ready for Villains month and are just "giving" us the chance to get more ice and Everest items lol... it's all marketing!

I hope the credits stay. The newsletter makes it sound so... but what I really hope, too, is that after the ice is gone... there will be a new fun free item to win just for playing!

The understanding I have is the credits will be permanent for the games (fireworks, pirates and jungle cruise). The daily host events they have numerous people have asked will the credits stay, and for a long time people where receiving conflicting answers. My understanding as of the other day is these credits will stay long term. Now don't get me wrong, Just like blue furniture, valentines day, and some other items, game changes, etc...Virtual Magic Kingdom can make changes at any point and time without communicating that information to vmk members. The credits will stay, but who knows what they may do down the line.
