It's official: Christmas shopping drama has begun!

Also, I think the ebayers are out in droves lately. The Disney princess designer doll collection was an eBay nightmare. I wouldn't be surprised if some do this for a living. Finally, I am finding the Walmart ship to store service is free and nice or popular toys. Good luck!

These one were limited edition designer dolls that were about $55 or so when they came out and are now almost $400 on EBAY.

Some eBayers do - every single year - with whatever the "hot" items are..

Definitely sign up for one of those toy alert trackers. I did and was able to get both Abbey and Spectra late last month for dd birthday. Spectra you can get pretty easily but Abbey popped up only 1 time for me and get this it was midnight on a Sunday at target.com and on sale for $9.99 . Spectra usually is $19.99. Good luck on your search.

I have been looking for Spectra and Abbey since September and I have not found them yet! I did pay double for the "original" Clawdeen Wolf that my DD had to have. I also paid full price for the bunk beds for Clawdeen Wolf. Every year my yDD always picks the hardest to find gifts!:sad2:

I'm not sure what you paid for the Clawdeen bunk bed but Walmart online has it in stock.

I'm lucky(Ithink) that my DD isn't into these. :rolleyes1 They aren't that popular around here. None of the girls talk about them. I need to check our stores around here. I've seen them but not sure of the hype.

thanks for all the tips everyone, I'm hitting Khol's in the morning (I hadn't thought of them). Has anyone got their TRU big toy book in the mail. I know it was released yesterday in the papers, but they usually send me one with bonus coupons (gift card offers or percentage off) that the ones in the papers don't have. Just curious when and if mine's on the way!

Got mine in the mail last Wednesday. Had a card for $10 off $100 on the front.

Anyone still looking for the Monster High dolls they had loads of them at my Kohl's today for $14.99 and there is an online coupon for 15% off.(not sure if you need credit card for coupon) I know they had at least one Spectra. I didn't have the names of the new ones but I know I saw her. They were in two different spots, in front of the aisle by the clothes and also in with the toys. Good luck.

:goodvibes WOO hooo Ill be checking there when I get off of work! Thanks!

I hope you find the doll. One of my friends daughter love Monster High and I have tried my best to help her find it this year. Those dolls are too popular. Good luck though. :flower3:

YAY ME!!!
I found Spectra today at K-mart. :woohoo:
That has been the ONLY place I have had any luck. That is where I found Abbey too last week.
So glad I have the HARD part of Christmas shopping done!!:cool1:
Now hoping for a good deal on a MP3 player and a DSi on Black Friday!
Good luck to everybody still on the hunt, don't give up!:goodvibes

Just wanted to let those of you still looking for Spectra and Abbey to not give up! Just back from my local Walmart and they had a whole endcap and 4 spots on the shelf of Monster High Dolls. They just put the display up. They had 5 Spectra dolls but no Abbey.

DD was ith me and wanted to know what I was looking for. She isn't into MH or so I thought. She did say she liked Spectra. I will be going back early tomorrow.

WALMART....Right now until December 25th. If you purchase something from them today and then before 12/25 find it cheaper you bring them your sales receipt and the ad price where it is cheaper and then they give you a WALMART GIFT CARD OF THE DIFFERENCE. Love it, especially for those hard to find items that go quickly...Good luck to all:santa:

Except for Black Friday stuff... that is all over the ads and in the stores around here- very explicit that they won't match Black Friday ads. :goodvibes

FWIW, the Wal-Mart by me had a good supply of Monster High dolls... my nieces are 2 1/2, so they're not into them yet, but the tweens I work with are so I "scouted" for their moms when I was out shopping. They've also been stocking stuff on top of the aisles and in the back for sales, so always ask if there's a specific one you want. Target had them on sale and in-stock at $14.99, as well.

Good luck! :cheer2:
