Morning, I didnt really want to get up when the alarm went off this morning (630) but we need to get out by 8 am so it made sense.

Today we are off to Hollywood Studios. We will try and do that new ride if we can and all the usual favourites.

The skies look quite clear today with a few white clouds high in the sky so I think it will be quite a hot day, supposed to be about 94 with little chance of rain. I will miss the heat when we come home. I love it here.

Hope you have a great day! I love MGM (sorry, can't call it that other name lol).

Have a wonderful time, hope the wait for toy story mania isnt horrendous like it was when we was there,Weather sounds gorgeus make the most of it,it's like winter here lol!

Hope you've had a good day :goodvibes , enjoy the weather whilst you can, because it's cold and wet here (just for a change :headache: )

Hope you have a lovely day, can't wait to read all about it.x.

Thanks. I am not looking forward to cold weather, sat round the pool today just enjoying the heat and sunshine. Here is what we did.

We left the hotel at 8.05 am and were in the MGM car park by 8.40 am. Close enough to the entrance to walk to it.

We changed our normal routine of heading for Rock n Rollercoater to one of going straight to the new ride Toy Story Mania. It was a walk on ride and what a fantastic ride it is. We were pleased we had gone on it. Basically you drive round in pairs, wear 3D glasses and come to face to face with screens where you can hit various things from Toy Story with your guns, eg get a hoop over a little green alien toy which sends it up in to the sky via a rocket. We all thought this was an excellent ride and has become one of my favourites. We fast passed it for later too.

We headed back to Rock n Rollercoaster but it wasnt working so it was just as well we had head to Toy Mania first. The wait for Tower of Terror was 50 minutes which was long for this early in the morning. I think everyone had headed for this after discovering Rock N Rollercoaster was not working.

We then went over to the other side of the park taking in the Great Movie Ride where you see scenes from movies depicted by animatronics (moving models). Usually we do this at the end of the day and I usually nearly fall asleep on it, with it being a long sit down ride. Doing it early was ideal because I wasnt tired.

We followed this with Muppets 3D. A 3D film starring all the characters from the show. Then the Backlot Tour where you through Catastrophe Canyon and get blasted by water coming down the canyon. I liked the Pirates of the Caribbean props we saw at the end.

It was then time to use our fast pass for Toy Story Mania. Again we very much enjoyed the ride. The fast pass return at 11.45 was for 7.30-8.30 pm and when we came out it had jumped another hour. I definitely think our plan paid off today and if you want to do Toy Story Mania do it first thing unless you plan to be in the park all day.

Rock n Rollercoaster was still broke but as we have done it very many times it wasnt a problem. A shame for any newbies though.

We had an okay lunch in the ABC Commissory. I had a Cuban sandwich with apple slices. DH and DS19 chicken curry and DS17 fish and chips. The meal was ok and filling but nothing to write home about.

We came back to the hotel. DS19 crashed out on the bed and we went down to the pool. It is crazy hot, I am off now for a cool down in the pool.

It was lovely sitting down in the pool cooling down. For a while I just people watched sitting at the edge of the pool with my feet dangling in the water. This is the life is the apt thought. Back by the sun loungers, DS19 came down, we had a rest whilst DH and DS17 played table tennis for an hour. DS17 went back up to the room puffed out whilst we had a dip in the pool again before joining him.

When we left the hotel the skies had darkened and the wind was getting up, all signalling that rain was on the rain. We had just got into Islands of Adventure when the power shower started up again so we ducked into the shop till we were bored, then braved the elements. We were still in wet swim things so getting wetter really didnt make any difference.

They had a go on Dr Doom and then me and the kids went on Spiderman (75 minutes normal line, us straight on) before braving the water rides. Both Popeye and DUdley had lines of 30 minutes but we were straight on. Needless to say we were soaked after two seconds on Popeye. The rain started to ease a bit of, more like a sprinkler than the power shower. We also did River Adventure and saw the dinosaurs again.

Next those Duelling Dragons again, DH minded my bag, as we sped around the coaster. I love this ride. Normal lines 20 minutes.

We returned to the hotel and got changed into lovely dry clothes then headed back out to Universal. This time we did The Mummy followed by Jaws. Both of which we enjoyed, then went over to City Walk for some food.

I got a lasagne from Passamore and they bought a pizza. The food was okay. We walked back to the hotel and soon got ready for bed. Cya.

Great day....shame about RnRC, one of my fave's!
