we're just 1 day away from booking our seats (virgin 747 from Glasgow) . we are travelling Premium Economy & need 3 seats together...which seats would you choose and why. :):). we really don't know where is best as never booked seats before . Thank you :thumbsup2

Upstairs PE is a 2-2 configuration. Downstairs is a 2-4-2 configuration.

Personally i would choose downstairs PE as you can all sit together and you'll be one of the first off the plane :)

thanks for that ....which seats would you choose downstairs... Was thinking row 19 - d-f but didn't know if seats reclined fully there & if we would be bothered by people going to toilets lol ....what do you think???

I dont think you'll be disturbed often as PE is generally pretty quiet and your not in the seat closest so hopefully be ok. It would only be at night time that it would potentially be an issue with the light if your easily woken up.

Ive flown in that row before and not had any problems. Im not sure if the seats fully recline but i was certainly comfy and got a fair few hours sleep.

Thanks:thumbsup2 , will make sure we aren't near the back on our return.
How is the economy & PE separated ...is it a curtain or partition wall...just wondered for reclining the chairs, think that's why we thought about the seats at the back. Where do you think is best to sit????? Sorry for all the questions but my OH is 6 ft 4 & I want to make sure he has the maximum space we can get ( it's his 1st time on a long haul flight lol):)

I havent flown since they refurbed the planes. Assuming you are on a 747 i believe its a partition wall with curtains across the aisles.

The seats that have the most legroom would be the front row(bulkhead seats) but i dont believe its possible to prebook those unless you have an infant.

In all honesty i would go for the second row of PE and try your luck at online check in or at the check in desk to see if you can get front row. PE does have plenty of space though and im sure even at 6'3 he will be perfectly comfy.
