and we will be in disney.

ive had a message from my wifes friend and my wife thinks that i will forget our anniversary.

i have in fact already bought her a card, but what could i do whilst we are over there to surprise her beyond belief??

we cannot go out for a nice romantic meal because we have the kids with us.

i wonder if any of my cyber friends can come up with an idea for me?

i need some help here ladies!!

DLH you can use the minnie club, and then do baybe a romantic dinner

If she's anything like my mother, just buy her a stick of candy floss and she'll be happy :')

or

Maybe you could order some surprises to the room before you arrive or something?

or

pretend you've forgotten until the end of the day and surprise her with a gift maybe :/

Hiya

Are you staying onsite? I would be tempted to take a card and small pressie (jewellery is easy to hide ;-)) with you and when you get a sneaky moment, go to the concierge desk and ask them if they could arrange some flowers and/or a Disney plush or something and have them brought to your table at breakfast on the morning of your anniversary. I would not enjoy the day if I was continually wondering if you were going to do something or had forgotten etc - so to my mind, no point making her uneasy all day when you could just start the day with a great bang!!

Alternatively if getting a pressie is too difficult at this point, perhaps put some euros in a card, with a nice poem or something saying that they are for her to spend on Main Street...

Also, could you get one of the 'happy anniversary' banners from somewhere like Clinton Cards and take some blu-tak, then make sure she is asleep before you, then put the banner on the back of your room door or something?

Another option would be to get some shiny card (Tesco do it) and cut out some heart shapes, and some Mickey head shapes (all various sizes ranging from tennis ball, to side plate) then write Happy Anniversary on them all, and when she's in bed, sprinkle over the floor around her bed.

Oh I could go on for hours, lol :rotfl:

Whatever you do, hope you have a wonderful anniversary

P.S. If you want, I could do a DISign for you that you can just print out on to photo paper or card stock and put up in your room? Like with your favourite Disney characters or something...

hi rachael, thatnks for your ideas! all of them!!

i quite like the thought of contacting the concierge too see if they can arrange something like you have suggested. we are staying in the cheyenne.

Flowers and champagne in the room perhaps? I would like that but I do think the flowers will cost a fair bit and really, unless you are driving, they would be difficult to bring home with you! If you are staying for a quite a few days it's not an issue as they would probably be almost finished by then.

To get around the not forgetting bit you could give her a card in the morning and leave it at that. Ask the concierge to organise the flowers/champagne for when you arrive back in the room later in the day as a surprise ;).

It's our Wedding Anniversary in November when we go - not sure DH will do anything though . I am looking at booking the California Grill for a nice meal for us but we are lucky on that trip as we'll have the grandparents with us to watch the children :goodvibes.

Hi, I think you can order cake for an anniversary too....the kids would love it as the cms all come out with the cake singing [or at least they did with ours] so you could choose somewhere special for an anniversary meal, that would be suitable for your kids [don't know their ages ...sorry] and have a cake brought out for your other half

Or go have a glowtini in the DLH. I bet if you went into the DLH before hand they would have a bottle with your name on it ready when you returned [i.e. champers]. When we stayed there we bought a bottle of wine to share and as we hadn't finished it the first night, they wrote our names on it and kept it for the next night :rotfl: Service above and beyond :):thumbsup2

if the Thrifts are still playing [anybody???] at the Cheyenne ask them to dedicate a song also!
