It's MY Birthday Meal!!! Yachtsman Steakhouse or LeCellier? Which is better?

For the price/table credit, I don't think Yachtsmen is worth that much, I think that LeCellier is just as good if not better then Yachtsman.

Boy, that's a toss-up. I enjoy them both.

If I had to choose one over the other, I guess I'd choose Yachtsman because I really enjoy their cold seafood (crab and lobster) appetizer.

They have cold seafood appetixer? I'll have to go view the menu again. That may seal the deal! DH loves crab!

Never been to Yachtsman ( my parents say it isn't worth 2 tbs credits). My entire family likes LC.

We have enjoyed both Yachtsman and Le Cellier but think that Le Cellier is the better value. Although the cold seafood appetizer at the Yachtsman is yummy!

If you are using Dining Plan credits and point break is your goal, Le Cellier is better value.

If you are paying for quality, go to Yachtsman. Much better food, service and atmosphere.

We went to both on our last visit and I thought the food was perfect at LeCelier was equal. So if it is price or points, I would choose LeCelier... in fact, I am not sure that I wouldn't choose it anyway...loved the soup!

I have eaten at both restaurants also, and still believe the two times I had filet mignon at Le Cellier was so much better. The filet mignon at Yachtsman was a little tough and dry (I got it medium rare), while at Le Cellier it has always been tender and moist.

To be honest, If you truly want to have a great steak somewhere on the Disney property I highly suggest going over to Shula's (The Dolphin). I have eaten at Shula's in both New York City, and at the Dolphin and it has never disappointed me. Truly, It has been the best steakhouse I have ever eaten at out of the following (1) Le Cellier (2) Yachtsman Steakhouse (3) Ruth Chris.

Just an fyi, Last time I ate there they had a surf & turf combination which included I belive a 10oz filet mignon and 2lb maine lobster (FYI, The lobsters they have is actually 4lbs, but they cut them in half for the surf & turf)

Haven't tried YS yet (it is on our ADR list for May) but can give LC a HauGE thumbs up! Everyone in our party agreed that it was our best meal while there in December. Even better than Narcooses! Enjoy:)

From beginning to end the Yachtsman wins....I love the lobster bisque, the flaky onion rolls with roasted garlic and butter....the filet is amazing and the dessert with a pressed pot of tea...YUMMY

YSH, hands down! :thumbsup2 While we enjoyed our meal at Le Cellier, after dining at YSH there's no way I could go back to Le Cellier. We have been back to YSH 4 times and have been WOWed every time.

LeCelliar definately. I like the yachetsman okay , but for the price difference, I think LeCelliar is a better value. They also have the ultra yummy cheese soup! ;)

We ate at both during our December trip and loved the food at both. We celebrated my son's 13th birthday at the Yachtsman and it was wonderful. I think the service there exceeds Le Cellier and I would choose the Yachtsman for a birthday celebration.

With it being at the Dolphin, is Shula's classed as a "Disney" restaurant? What I'm asking is, do you book an ADR there using the normal system? Thanks.
