It's Melting!!!

The snow & ice!!! I don't remember the last time I saw concrete & blacktop on my driveway. I think we've been below freezing since before Christmas & snow most days. Even for Buffalo, it was rediculous. Temps should be mid 30's most of this week.

The snow piles at the end of my driveway were about 5 feet high this morning. Maybe they'll actually melt before June!

Yay for you!!! I don't know how you can live there! We've had a very cold Jan/Feb with below zero temps a few nights which hasn't happened here in over 20 years. Our days have been colder than usual too, but very little snow. Just cold!!

Right now it is 63 degrees outside and feels like a spring day! I love it!!!

It's 47 degrees here now and just lovely outside. We grilled steaks for lunch . I don't want it to get TOO warm though or everything will melt too fast and that would be a HUGE mess.

I know how you feel. With it being 40 today, the blacktop is showing again and it feels great outside. There were tears forming in my eyes. It's suppose to be close to 50 by mid week and I plan to grill something once the snow is completely gone from the deck (almost there).

My DH doesn't know why we live here either! He wanted to leave when we got married 33 years ago. I wanted to be near family. He reminds me when I complain about the winters!

Usually we have periods of cold & snow, but it will usually warm up & melt every few weeks. But this year has been brutal, can't remember a year where we've had such a long cold spell.

It's wonderful! My driveway is almost melted, just a few more icy spots to go. There is still about 9 inches of snow in the backyard but a few spots I shoveled to walk the dog are now down to the grass, finally!!

Blah, it makes me sad. It's Buffalo. It's supposed to be cold and snowy in the winter!! It's been so pretty here the last two months.

We are in the middle of snow AGAIN right now. Supposed to snow all night and then warm up, and then freeze....

It sure is, now what was an ice skating rink in my driveway, is now a swimming pool!!!
