How is it possible to get rear ended twice in one week? It's just not ritght. :sad2:

I commute to Boston every day for work. I drive about 30 miles to catch a train. Well, earlier this week, I was drove out of the train station, following the road around and came to a stop sign. I came to a stop behind a car already at the stop sign...then *wham*. Someone hit me from behind, not very hard, probably around 5 mph. I got out and asked the young lady if she was all right, I was feeling fine. We both surveyed the cars for damage, and after seeing non we left. I didn't feel the need to call the police for a small finder bender when no damage was done.

Ok, fast forward to today. Every Sunday I drive to Providence, R.I. for a voice lesson, today being no different. Let me set the scene; it's been raining, probably most of the day, adn it's after dark. So, after my lesson was over, I hoped in the car and started off for home. I got on 95 heading south, then 195 heading east for Cape Cod. After driving for a bit, I decided that I wanted a Dr. Pepper for the ride home, so I pulled off the highway at exit 1, Seakonk, MA. I got my drink and got back in the car and started off for home. I pulled up to a red stoplight and stopped. I was sitting at this red stop light for about 10 seconds when I heard a car horn and then *wham* I was thrown forward. I'm fine, my car's fine, maybe a scratch on the bumper, but otherwise everything's fine. Well, except for the lady who hit me. The grill is shattered, the driver side headlight is hanging out of the socket, and the hood to her car is bent. Now how is it possible to get rear ended twice in the same week? I just don't get it.

Glad you're ok.

My mom got hit twice in one day, both accidents not her fault. She was sitting at a stop sign, rear ended, some damage, no police, they exchanged info. My trusting mom let the girl write the info down, and it turned out to be bogus.

Later that day, an old guy ran a stop sign into her, and totalled the car. The insurance company deducted the prior accident for about $ 300.

I'm sorry. First off, are you okay?

Second, is your car dark and hard to see? :confused3 I'd probably put reflectors on the whole back side of the car after two in one week.

Well that's frustrating. Of course I'd be paranoid about things coming in threes. Not that you should be concerned about that.;) Also, have you checked to make sure that your tail and brake lights are in working condition??

Sorry this happened to you and twice in one week :grouphug:
Here is hoping it doesn't ever happen again. :)

Well, it was kind of slippery and rainy today...was it that way for your first accident, too?

Imagine how much worse it's going to be if it ever SNOWS around here!

(Oh, and maybe you should see about having that magnetic bumper removed)

To answser the question, I am alright. I thought I might be sore this morning, but I'm not. Both days it had been raining so the roads were wet, and I'm not sure how they can miss my car...it's red. Oh well, all's well so far. I still need to contact my insurance and let them know. Thanks for listening to me.

I knew this guy when I wa sin the Navy, he got rear ended all the time

A red car is the worst. We had a red car that was hit in 3 of the 4 doors.
