Its just hours away now...Could someone please scrape me off the ceiling?

My Matt is due home anytime now. I haven't seen his handsome face in person in 8 months. I don't know exactly when yet but he is enroute I cannot sit still lol. I couldn't sleep much and boy you could eat off the floors. I have cleaned and cleaned and recleaned my house and then had Matt's car cleaned. I have our bags packed and ready to go, like a lady going into labor We are going to stay in Nashville the first couple of days just to have Matt and Tina time

So who is going to entertain me today and scrape me off the ceiling if I don't get the call soon Someone needs to take responsibility for me today.

Aw, I can only imaine your excitement! I cantotally relate with the 'cleaning' thing, I am the same way when I am either nervous or waiting for something. I cannot stand to wait!

Things are getting better here - still fighting with the insurance company, trying to settle the claim from DH's accident.

Oh, I remember this day so well! I knew DH had left, I even got a call at his first stop too, then when I expected the Atlanta call it was NOT! The plane was diverted to INDIANA due to some airplane troubles!! Luckily that only held him up an hour or 2 and he RAN in Atlanta to get a connection that was leaving soon!

I had kept the kids home from school, then I sent them in late as I could not stand the waiting and wanted to keep them busy!

Did you polish your toenails?? Bake some cookies?? If so, you are just going to have to pace or DIS! Sorry!

I wish I would of caught you before you left. The East side of Nashville is under a ton of road construction, you would of been better off going down around the West side and back towards the south/east to get to the airport.

Where do you and Matt live in Kentucky, my Godmother and her 5 adult children live in Bowling Green?

I hope you have a nice reunion. Our WI National Guard was called last June and since December they have been coming home at different times for a 2 week rest. They all have until October, but they are all starting to hear that they might get extended 6 months.

Thank you for the tips I appreciate it. I haven't left yet. I have no idea when Matt is actually landing lol. I atually don't know where in the world he is Supposedly he is here in the next 24 hours, I just can't stand it lol. It maybe only 15/16 days to some but it's a lifetime to me

We are stationed at Ft. Campbell, KY. That is about 45 mins from Bowling Green I think. I remember getting lost in that area one time when I was out for a drive. It's very much like the area I grew in at home minus the horse buggies.

Im sorry to hear about your NG being extended and hope things get better and they can come home to be with their families but watching the reunions are always nice. Although, I have always said if the public had to watch when the separation at first, there wouldn't ever be deployments unless absoutlely possbile lol since that is the heartbreaking part.
