It's always been a good day for me. I turned 13 on Friday the 13th! (sure it's been a while, but it was still good! )

My oldest DS was born on Friday the 13th. (but it was in June)

Several years ago, the same son signed a full ride basketball scholarship on 11/13 and the exact time (we had to record the time) was 11:13 am. We always thought that was pretty cool. Sure he ended up with 7 surgeries from some knee and nose injuries during his basketball career but I still like the 13th!

I wasn't too thrilled with that 30-degree temperature today, but I just made apple cider donuts for the crew and I "think" they came out right.. Don't know, because I've never eaten them before..

How about that wind last night? I thought my place was going to blow down!!!!

This day has been so awesome for me! Sorry to sound so selfish, but I've had a great time w/ my kids and dh (they're on Fall break) we did family stuff. I got to see the Disney Wonder come home through the twin cam and the Rad cam. Today has just been great!

Okay...I thought things weren't too bad...only lost those 6 hours of work, but then I went to the high school football game...DS plays in the band. Well, our team is up 13-0 and running long for another TD when SHAZAM all the lights go out! The place was pitch black...seems a transformer blew over in the parking lot and they ended up postponing the game till tomorrow...hopefully. I'd even bought my 50/50 raffle tickets already...usually skip on that, but tonight something said...buy them! Well, now that the game is postponed, the band isn't required to be there tomorrow, which I don't agree with...so I can still go to the game solo just to see if I won the 50/50 or I can chalk it up to a donation to the 50/50 and the cost of my ticket cause they didn't refund any money for the admission either. And ya know if I don't go to the game, one of my numbers will surely be called.

Oh, well...c'est la vie!

My grandpa was born on Friday, February 13, 1913. He was also 1 of 13 children.

Today was wonderful for me.
I got first chair clarinet in band.
I was one of five people in my science class to ace this test.
I also got my fastest time this season during Cross Country.

DMIL dislocated her arm today, along with a fracture... BUT she is soo happy there is no surgery needed she says its a good day! Man it looked all mangled... she lucked out they were able to pop it back in.

I love the 13th! It's my mom's birthday and my beautiful niece was also born on the 13th!! She's 7 months old today!!!

I never minded Friday the 13th but today was such a bad day that I might need to rethink that.

We had such a great luck this Friday 13. First my DD met (sp?) the Cheetah girls, got their autograph ( the only bad thing was that they didn't wanted to take a picture with the kids, not to happy about that ) and her favorite singer/actress, Hannah Montana, this girl is awsome, we saw her walking around in the hotel lobby with a towel wrapped around her head, we asked her is she could give us her autograph she did, I asked her for a picture, I even told her that maybe she didn't wanted to take a picture with no pretty hair or make- up, she took the towel, fixed her hair with her fingers and we got the picture. My DD couldn't talk! She was soooo happy, then we saw her again and she got off her tour bus to sign autographs to DD and 4 other girls, we took pictures and she was so nice, she give DD a picture of her of course with her autograph. The Cheetah girls bus was there too, and the manager was so rude, told us to stay away from the bus, the girls never even looked at the little girls there, they had posters and cd's, the manager told us that they were running late, but the bus sat there for 30 minutes.

Anyway! My DD told me that she will always remember Friday 12 2006 as the best day of her life b/c she saw got touched her favorite singer ever.
Then we went to the concert and she had a ball.
