I'm sorry for this venting post, but all over the board world I have seen "E***" and "E" for eBay. As a seller on eBay, this offends me and it makes me upset. Everyone knows eBay exists, everyone I have ever known online or in person knows about it and atleast has had some selling/bidding experience. I know this site doesn't allow the promotion of other auction sites which brings me to another point. Why is this rule existing? Do the Administrators or Moderators afriad traders and what not will defect to eBay or other places or something? Why are we isolated in a box of ignorence when we come here? Anyway, back to my original point, I think it stinks that pin traders refer to eBay as E*** or E. If this post is edited that will be my hint that I can't express my feelings and address my issues, in other words use "Freedom of speech".

eBay eBay eBay eBay eBay eBay eBay eBay eBay eBay eBay!!!

eBay.com The world's largest online market place!!!

PS. I am sure I might get in trouble for this post, but I thought it had to be said.

PS(2). DISAuctions needs atleast 1 bid before its really considered an auction site.

That is all.

Ebay, Ebay, Ebay
I think the * are a throw back to when we weren't suppose to use it. I look at it really more like slang.
We all use Ebay. No big deal.
Maybe I better re-read the other thread. ;) I don't recall anything anti-Ebay seller in there. I was just surprised to see a Scoop pin. (Esp at the $)

There is no rule against using the word Ebay. I also edited your post... There is a rule about links to ebay.

Feel better now. ;)

No one says you can't say "eBay" but direct linking to for-profit sites such as eBay auctions is not permitted. Yes, some people star out the name and say e***, but that's their own decision.

The Webmasters set up the guidelines when the site was first established. This was to prevent spamming and people promoting their own ventures at the site owner's expense. Dizpins, Dizneypins, and other sites have rules in place similar to those here.

DIS guidelines are not subject to debate. I don't see this thread as a debate of guidelines at this point. When it does, however, it will be closed. If anyone has any questions regarding the guidelines, you are free to e-mail or PM one of the moderators or webmasters.

Well I guess we can call it an auction site then since I've seen one seller with 5 feedbacks and another with 2 feedbacks. Not to mention that you really have no reason to complain about DISAuctions when it doesn't cost you a penny to list anything over there

Why is this rule existing? Because WebmasterPete pays for this website and the bandwidth used out of his own pocket. Why should he pay to advertise your auctions? I don't know about you but I can't say I see anyone else isolated in a box of ignorance.

It's a privately owned website so you play by the owners rules. Doesn't involve "freedom of speech"
