It has been TEN YEARS since my DF has been 'home'! I can't believe we are finally able to head back! We are usually September visitors. My absolute favorite time of the year. All ten of our trips, with the exception of 2, one in Febrauary and one in early May have been in the first week of September...

This trip, in order for us to bring everyone, yes, everyone ranging from 8-48, ten in all, we have to visit the last week in May/first week of June. I need help! I know the crowds will be heavier than I am used to, how bad am I looking at??

I also know that everything has changed! For goodness sakes, the last time I was there, fastpasses were paper and I was excited that the ROOM key was able to do all the things that "magic bands" now do!

This is also going to be a big change for us, because with so many people, we are planning to get a house near the park. Having to do three rooms was just nuts on the purse strings.

So.... let's hear it! Tell me what all is new, what I have missed, and what am I in for!!??

I'm interested to hear the answers you will get- we haven't been since 2008 ourselves, and are going back twice this year! my DD is now 12, and we have a new little one, who will be almost 10 months when we go.

Well, a lot has changed that's for sure. Depending on when you go in September, you may run into Food and Wine Festival crowds. I recommend connecting yourself to the My Disney Experience app. This allows you to keep track of all your reservations (food, resort, and fastpass). And yes you can reserve fastpasses a couple weeks out. That can be to your choosing. You can no longer use a fastpass all day. It has to be within your time frame! I know, it sucks. If you have any specific questions, I'll do my best to answer them.

Definitely heavier crowds, but not full summer crowds as many schools are still in session through June. Since it will be more crowded, I would suggest making some FP reservations as well as dining reservations (if you're interested). Everything will book up quickly.
