I have been off the boards for a while. I usually find myself back on when we are planning a trip. I am considering surprise my husband and taking him to DL for a day or two without our kids. I have the option of staying with my SIL in Bakersfield. But we are rope droppers. LOL! So my question is with Hojo changing it's discount rates is there any hotel about that close that has anything close to those kinds of deals that anyone has heard of?

I just booked the Del Sol's two queen and bunk bed room for something like $93/night. The basic room was $83 or so, I think? Not exactly $59/night, but cheaper than any other place I found that was within easy walking distance.

Another board announced a special deal at the Anabella. Also check the Red Lion hotel, the Anaheim Plaza, and the Super 8 (on Disneyland Dr. at Ball).

We booked the Ayres for $102/night with the third night free. There are better deals out there than hojo for sure you just have to decide if you want to be close enough to walk, want breakfast, and what type of room you want.

Why don't you you use hotwire or priceline and just get a really cheap room? If you don't have the kids with you I am assuming walking distance is not a big deal. Last time we did priceline we got the Red Lion for $50, which was a great price. I am assuming you'll have a car? If so I would definitely take a chance on one of those sites or check Last Minute Travel too.

The Hilton seems to post lots of bargains on those sites and other booking engines for around $72, and that is a good price (I think).

We booked the Hilton for less than $80 a night on last minute travel. You can tell which one the Hilton is because of the pictures. (Look for the one with the starbucks in the lobby). We called directly to LMT to get the best rate and they confirmed it was the Hilton.
