I don't think i've posted on here in years! so hi everyone! how has everyone been

anyways, my budget question...

looking to buy a blu ray player for my bf for xmas/birthday. and was wondering if you can actually get a decent one for $150.

I know nothing about them and i def don't want to skimp out on a good one to cut costs (if thats the case, i'll have to come up with something else). Any recommendations??

I ordered this one back in January from Amazon for my DH's b-day.

it was on sale then for $156 but it's at $ 162.99 now. BUT, it comes w/ the HDMI cables, so we didn't have to buy them. We use the blu ray player constantly. we play regular DVD's and Blu Ray and it's a fantastic little player for the money. It had good reviews, which is why I bought this one.

We just got one at Target, it was $149.99, Samsung I think. Works great so far, but we've only watched 1 movie on it. We got it about 3 weeks ago now.....

We got a Panasonic from Sam's teh weekend before Thanksgiving, for about $150. It will even play burned DVDs-course they aren't in HD, but it will play them.

I ordered one from Amazon that got good reviews (for a basic machine) for $99.99, but I later saw other similar offerings for $79.
