So it has been close to 6 years since we have been to WDW! What are some new TS restaurants we should try? What about counter service?

What are your favorites and why?

We are definite foodies and my kids are older, 14 and 18 and are very adventurous when it comes to food and unfortunately for me, have very expensive taste!

Have been to WDW about 6 times and have eaten at many places.

Would love to hear what new restaurants have opened or been redone! We will be at all the parks and near Disney Springs a bit.

Thanks!

If you're adventurous, Disney Springs has you covered, especially with TS dining. Morimoto Asia is a TS location in Disney Springs offering a Signature Dining experience. If you're on the Disney Dining Plan, It takes 1 Credit PP for Lunch and 2 Credit PP for Dinner. Lunch would be a great way to try that Signature experience without using two credits.

Bongo's Cuban Cafe is another TS restaurant (with a QS counterpart) that has really great, different food than the usual park fare.

However, if you're looking for more in park, Tiffins at Animal Kingdom is a great place to start. (Definitely need an ADR for that!)

However I tend to lean more toward QS restaurants (counter service), in which case your kids might like Columbia Harbor House in Magic Kingdom. This offers seafood, which is harder to come by, especially at QS places. Another great atmosphere and food place would be Pecos Bill in MK. Within the last year they changed the food from "cowboy" type fare to a really different Tex-Mex menu. The fixin's bar remains the best, lots of guac!

In Epcot, I'd definitely go with La Cantina de San Angel or Katsura Grill. They remain my favorites. Although they themselves aren't really /new/ per se, their menus have changed and are worth it.

Hollywood Studios is tougher now, the newest experience is PizzeRizzo which I'm personally trying on my upcoming trip. It has your basic Disney Italian fare and is a QS restaurant.

Animal Kingdom has a lot...Yak & Yeti, Tiffins, Flame Tree Barbeque...

Hope this helps!

Hard to remember what has opened in the last 6 years..it all runs together!

Tiffins at Animal Kingdom looks great with interesting menu and good reviews - we peeked inside the restaurant and will plan to go next trip - you might consider giving it a try-
PizzeRizzo in Hollywood Studios was good counter service - pizza, meatball sub, etc and an improvement over the old Planet Pizza.
Tokyo Dining at Epcot Japan is really good - it is located beside Teppan Edo
Be Our Guest - MK
Geyser Point at Wilderness Lodge is outside counter service or sit down service..quick service of sandwiches, burger..really enjoyed it
Homecoming at Disney Springs is southern fare - good food and good service
There are many new restaurants at Disney Springs!

Good Luck in your search!

Rick Bayless' new restaurant at DS is very good - Frontera Cocina.

Some of our favs in Disney Springs include Paradiso 37, food is always good (as are the margaritas) and they recently expanded. The servers now make drinks table side which is quite a show to watch.

Love the Boathouse, food is very good, fun place to dine. Love the lobster rolls there but definitely pricey.

Our favorite Epcot restaurant is still Via Napoli, love the pizza there as well as their sangria. Feel free to check out my photos and reviews from there. VIA NAPOLI PHOTOS/REVIEW

Really enjoyed dinner at Be Our Guest but ADRs are pretty hard to come by there. Also have some photos from dinner there as well.
BE OUR GUEST DINNER

blaze pizza in DS is my new favorite place because it's like a chipotle for pizza, and offers a vegan pizza too. we also tried 50's prime time for the first tie this year and the waiter was amazing along with the food.
