:cool1: A big hello to fellow DIS members from the Niagara Area. I met some of you at the Niagara Falls meet back in 2001. I'm back on again. This time planning a trip with my now 11 year old DS to go the end of Sept. Can anyone tell me what you know about the Magic Your Way and free dining? We need to stay on-site this trip as I won't drive in Florida. We will be at ASMO again. My travel agent quoted me $1157 Cdn. for 5 nights/6 days for myself and DS. Does that sound like a good rate.

:cool1: Hi ... Its great that you're going back to WDW. We are also going in September and staying at Pop Century. We have family joining us and will be on the dining plan. We paid for 14 nights - $1770 (this includes 8 one day MYW tickets) Our stay is also split up coz the package does not allow 14 nights. My dh and I have annual passes & my family are not buying MYW tickets but the 14 day ultimate tickets. Does your price include air?

5 nights should be around $862 - unless you adding hopper & more.

Hope this helps :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

We'll be there at the same time. We people from Niagara have to stick together. You'll love all the new stuff!!

WHat are the ultimate tickets is that the same as park hopper with water parks and no expiration date?

My son and I are looking forward to seeing the many changes that have taken place in the past 5 years at the parks. The price I got for the two of us of $1157 is for 2 adults - 5 nights/6days with park hopper and free dining, we are using frequent flyer miles to get to Orlando from Buffalo.

Princess4Eeyore - you mention $862 for 5 nights, is that for two adults?

That price seems kind of high. 8 nights for 2 adults with park hoppers and free dining is $1209.

Hi ... Yes thats for two adults and is a quoted price from Disney directly - not hopper passes tho.

From Mousesavers: The 14-Day Ultimate Ticket is intended for sale in the UK and Europe. It entitles you to 14 days of unlimited admission to all four theme parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios, Animal Kingdom), both water parks, Pleasure Island, DisneyQuest and the Wide World of Sports Complex. This ticket entitles you to use of the Walt Disney World transportation system - monorails, water launches, and motor coaches. Valid for 14 days from day of first use.
We purchased these tickets for my brother last year and they mailed it to our home - tickets are just under $300 US. If you want to know where we purchased the tickets, PM me. I dont think I am allowed to give the link out here?

Have a great weekend.

After I checked what my travel agent quoted me, it is the same as on the Disney Site....agent's price included preferred room, so new price without that is $940 U.S. = $1043, based on $1.11 exchange. Again 5 nights/ 6 days.

NancyK - that is a great price for the 8 nights, I assume it is at a value resort. Is that Cnd $$. Where did you get that? Maybe my son would like to stay a few extra days and miss some more school. Would be worth a few hundred more to me, since we're down there anyway.

That price is in U.S. $ and was a quote from Disney Reservations for All Star Music with park hopper and free dining. That is a standard view without travel insurance. If I were you, I would probably go for a longer stay. ;)

I finally made a decision - DS 11 and I are booked for 7 days/7 nights at ASMU, Sept 27 to Oct 4, we had to go mid-week so that I could get good flights with US frequent flyer miles. We will be ready to tour parks by noon on Wed. and home on a 1:30 flight the next Wed. We got it for $1117 US, park hopper & free dining, (no insurance) through a TA and she confirmed with WDW resv. that we can add another adult for just $250+- more up to date of arrival. I may end up taking my 14 yo DS if his courses in Gr. 10 are not too heavy his first term. :wizard:

I set up a touring plan and made 7 PS for dining already, but I feel I need to rethink my plan as the Sat is MNSSHP and Fri is opening of Food & Wine at Epcot. Does anyone know if there is an extra Fantasmic, Spectro and fireworks during EMH when those parks are open late?

We went at the end of this past September... it seems like ages ago now  It was a GREAT time to visit. Travellers tend to stay away because of Hurricaine worries. All rides were basically walk-ons.

The only crowds we faced was on our last day. The girls wanted to re-visit Epcot (who knew it would be their favourite?!) and it was the first Saturday of the Food and Wine festival. It was absolutely swamped with locals.

We also avoided MK when MNSHHP was happening.

As for the shows, it is off-season so parks closed earlier, and shows were limited. MGM had one show of Fantasmic every night, but more often than not, it was cancelled due to high humidity. My girls were very disapointed, but hopefully we'll see it in March at DLR! The MK nighttime parade and fireworks were limited to a few nights a week. Definitely had both on Saturday, maybe Thursday, and one other night. You have to check the schedule at the official site a few months before you go. There is the afternoon parade daily at MK, MGM, and AK.

That was the negative of off-season travel - you do have to plan out which park for which day based on the entertainment schedules unless you have hoppers.
