It's April 3rd, and it's snowing.

No snow here (some is expected a little more up north) but very, very windy (over 40 miles per hour winds) - lights just went out/flickered, branches down. I thought our windows were going to break during night from the high winds and heavy rain. Be safe and hopefully whatever comes down will melt in no time.

I'm in MA and it's snowing... I've lived here all my life... I'm used to it! April 1 2001 it snowed and closed school, April 12 2015 we got an ice storm as we departed for Disney... This isn't anything news worthy to me...

:confused3 It generally snows off and on all throughout the month of April and into May where I live (and then it rains all June - our version of "spring showers"). We've had an exceptionally mild, dry winter this year but that's not the norm. It's nice this week (in the 40's) but is supposed to be back below freezing and some more snow next week.

Sounds depressing, I know - winter starts in earnest by late October and lasts a good 7 months. But FWIW, we're on holidays right now in Cancun where the tempratures are in the low-90's and the humidity is off the charts. I feel like it's going to kill me.:faint: Every time I vacation somewhere hot I vow to never again complain about the weather back home.

It snowed here throughout the night. Then the wind started and blew the snow away. The winds are so bad here the power is out (which very rarely happens) for a couple of hours now! In like a lion, Happy Spring!

No snow here in central nj although flurries were a possibility. We have had heavy snow in April but it is rare. We did have some hail last night around midnight which freaked the dog out. Poor thing and poor me.

Yes I am. Just because we're used to it doesn't mean we have to like it. :p

(Someone needs to inform Mother Nature it's baseball season!)

Some snow in the forecast, but some really wild winds on Long Island!

No snow here--but high winds. But it happens sometimes in April. I'll never forget the year I went to Disney on April 6th and Dulles Airport had 1/2 inch of snow on the ground that morning.

Snowed a little here (Maryland) overnight. It's mostly just on my deck. Lots of heavy wind gusts and the Lightning last night was crazy.

No snow, but it's cold and very windy. Last night for about 15 minutes there was really loud hail banging against the windows.

The last snow in April I can remember was in 1982.

Gonna be 78 here in the Midwest today. :)

But we did have some pretty white stuff on Easter last week. :(

The good part about snow this time of year is that it usually doesn't stick around long.

We've had all our snow melt twice only to get more. Like @ronandannette said, snow in April and possibly May is nothing to be shocked about. We still could get a huge blizzard, it's happened before..

It snowed all day on and off here - i felt like we living in a snowglobe that someone would shake every once in a while - blue sky and sun for a while, then it looked like a blizzard out there for 10 minutes. In between showers, the sun would come back out and melt any snow that had accumulated. This went on all day - I had a 8am meeting for a non-profit I am involved in, so I was on the road by 7am, and at 6pm it was still doing the same thing.

And today it is supposed to be 63 degrees.

Still experiencing summer temps here in Australia and loving it.....going to get up to 29C during the week. Daylight savings finished last night, so winter is around the corner.

March was a hot one and April is starting out to be the same. Summer started late last year, so it is making up for it now :)

March is traditionally very windy and quite cold here but the winds and cold temps didn't eventuate last month - not complaining :)

Hope the warm temps hang around for a while longer, not ready for winter yet.
