I wouldn't want it to get Oz. America is too full of Oz after having seen Crocodile Dundee.

There certainly was talk of it getting Aussie animals for a while. Not sure if anyone asked the animals how they felt about moving to a different country.

And for the record. I accept the below as my personal opinion and accept that others will having different viewpoints.


I personally fail to see the connection between Disney, Animal Kingdom and Avatar.
I'm also not as big a fan of Avatar as my DH is but I do get why he loves it so. I do not understand why it won Best Movie in most awards that year.

However, I'll wait to pass judgement on the land, any attractions or whether it is right or wrong given that no plans or concept drawings have been released (or that I've seen). 5 years is a long time...and who knows how the other 2 movies might turn out? Might well be the biggest foresight planning by Disney in years! Or the biggest blunder.

And to base a land around a concept like Avatar, in my opinion, is no different to basing a land around a concept like Cars. It will be the theming and the rides that will make or break the place for me.

Yes, at Ross I checked the bus times, and I can get there in less than an hour on a different route (at least tomorrow), so yay
