i bought some cheapo extension tubes( actually nicer than i anticipated) but since they are from china and i don't read chinese the instructions are no help... so i got it on the lens and camera but now can get it off the camera but not the lens...i tried turning, pushing pulling a small silver knob on the side of the ring that is next to the lens but nothing...any ideas would be helpful, very helpful, like i'm starting to panic i messed up my good lens

ok i got it off ( sigh of relief) by biting on the knob and twisting simultaneously but guessing that would not be the real way to do it( unless they also sell dental equipment and want to create more business) so if anyone know why it might have gotten stuck or how it is supposed to work please let me know

no, biting usually is not a proper procedure in handling any camera equipment. LOL!

lol! i pushed to right , I pushed to left , i pulled ,i twisted ...then screamed, stomped my feet ,cried like a baby and bit it..which worked

...to bad i didn't push down like i was supposed to.... any way then i got the ring stuck on the camera body when i tried it with the 50mm...and couldn't get teeth around that one,,,mouth big but not that big,,,,hooolllly crow, wish i had just spent the 100++ on the kenko extension..which i might do anyway... so helpful, those chinese directions ... so "chinese"might be good as in "sesame chicken", not so good as in "cheapo camera parts".

That's funny, I thought the translated instruction said you were also suppose to hop in a circle on one foot while humming "It's a small world" at the same time.

According to my Chinese FIL, humming will not work, you've mistranslated the manual, you should be "screaming at the top of your lungs".

so it was the screaming not the biting that did it..have to remember not to use that at a wedding unless i realy hate the couple.....
