Well after being frustrated getting only 300 points away from 240,000 numerous times on Fireworks, I finally changed mice with DH. He had a corded optical mouse and I had a cordless optical mouse. My mouse just didn't seem to move as quickly as it should and the batteries were really going down quick with DD and I both playing VMK. Well I tried the corded optical mouse tonight for the first time and easily went over 240,000 three different times. So, for those of you who hate Fireworks or are discouraged in your scores, be encouraged. It might just be your equipment and not you. :cheer2:

Yes. It has been stated here somewhere before that a corded optical mouse is better than a cordless. :)

It's not only the mouse, but may be your computer.
I have a corded optical mouse, but, the game is just slightly too resource heavy on my pc, so I sometimes have problems playing. :(

And still other times it's not the equipment but the operator ;) I've played fireworks way too many times and the games I can break 100k are few and far between. I guess the hand/eye coordination has been shot now that I am old and lame ;)

I have a corded optical mouse and I still can't break the 200 mark after practice, practice, practice. I consider myself pretty good so I really do attribute it to something else on the computer.

im chageing the spead of my mouse too sea if it helps to do this

got too contole pad-printers and other hardware then click mouse

whats A optical mouse? is it the one with the little ligth bc thats what i have

My hubby is a computer guy and he helps me out sometimes with games... he had an idea that I tried today that actually seemed to help.

I turned the resolution DOWN on my monitor.

Lo and behold, the pics were HUGE and you could really SEE when the firework became a star (for flawless) and such.

I scored pretty good even on the warm up games from doing that.

Give it a try... it's in control panel, display options.

Tonight I played at my folks, turned the sceen res down AND played with a corded optical not my cordless one and broke 200K!

Woot Woot!

Perhaps it's just all the adjustments.
