It's ALL about the FOOD! An October 2012 PTR! - Trip Report Started.

Less than a Month!! 4 weeks from today we will be on a plane!!

I am so very excited! My hubby says he is excited because of my being there, the food and the wine! :rotfl2: I love that he is humoring me!!

Two months from now hopefully Scotty and I will be in the audience seeing Ellen!!

Oh wow, V&A! Have you been there before?

Couldn't you take the monorail to MK and then boat back to WL?

Nope this will be our first time at V&A! I was just going to book the regular dining room but when I called she asked which experience I would like. Regular Dining Room, Queen Victoria Room, or Chef's Table. I think I pretty much stuttered out the words... "Chef table is available?!?!" She said yes and I hemmed and hawed a few minutes... (The cost difference is several hundred $$) Finally I said okay I will take it!! I've debated downgrading to the regular dining room but then decided I may never get this opportunity again so I am going for it!

Yes! It is a MNSSHP night so the monorail and boats should be running! Great idea!!

Ooh I can't wait to hear about V&A! I want to go there so bad, maybe on our 5 year anniversary trip or something! :cool1:

I will definitely be reporting on it!! I almost booked it for our 5year anniversary but we were on the DxDP and I was having trouble using all our credits to start with...

Two months from now hopefully Scotty and I will be in the audience seeing Ellen!!

That sounds like a lot of fun Michele!

Booo! I don't want this day to come! It's even worse that we will not be going to a park this day!

So... how should we experience our final day in the Disney Bubble without entering a park? I am open to ANY and ALL suggestions!

I am thinking of a character meal but I don't want just a Meh experience after having done V&A the previous night. Any suggestions on how to round out or trip on still a high note? Maybe not a character meal but another dining experience? Please help!!

I am predicting we will be picked up by ME around 1:30-2ish PM for a 5pm flight.

They will gladly call you a cab. :) I'm so jealous but I have Remy in 3 weeks.

I figured they would and that may be the way to go. I will discuss it with my hubby that night and decide then what we shall do.

I'm jealous of your cruise and Remy! Will you be dining at Palo as well?!?! I would so love to take a Disney Cruise someday!

Yep, brunch and dinner and I'm going to try for Remy lunch as well.

Hmmm, was going to suggest Tea but that doesn't start in time since you have an early pick up.

I don't think anything will be able to stand up to V&A Chef's Table. I would suggest a late breakfast at Kouzzina or Boma. Maybe a trip to the spa at SSR?

Don't you hate planning for the last day of your trip? You get sad and it's not even here yet! :rotfl:

Why not go to DTD for the morning, maybe eat at T-Rex or Raglan Road? That way you're still immersed in the Disney magic, but not at a park!

I completely forget if you'll be heading to Boma for breakfast during your trip, but we love it there, and we love just sitting on the savannah for awhile and watching the animals. Or you could do a breakfast in one of the monorail resorts, Kona or Grand Floridian Cafe, and monorail around to each of them.

Ugh last day. BOO. I don't know!!! I really have no idea. I would suggest DTD but that's pretty obvious, and I'm not even really a fan, so I have no reason to suggest it... plus, you'll already have gone there. Ugh. I'm basically no help at all, I apologize. :guilty:

No spa for us. Hubby won't go for it and since we have to say good-bye at the airport I will not want to leave his side!

DtD may be an option. Just not sure if we will actually have time for it. It will depend on what time they say we need to be picked up for ME. We will have dined at Raglan Road several times but one more could be an option! LOL.

We will not have been to Boma. I am hoping to get to Jiko a few days prior. I am going to trick my hubby into that one lol!

I have no clue either! I have a feeling I will not make any plans and we will wing it with whatever we feel like doing.

I finally got around to booking some appointments I needed before the trip!!

1) I color my hair and it desperately needs a cut! I have this booked for the week before we go so that the color has some time to settle in! Usually it starts out darker and then in a few washes settles down so I was smart this time and booked it a week prior. Now I just need to figure out what color I want and my style! :lmao:

2) Pedicure! I so need this! My feet will thank me! I don't get a manicure because my fingernails hate nail polish! It peels almost before its on so not worth it to me!

I need a haircut before the trip too. That's on my to-do list!

I have no patience for nail polish. I hate waiting for it to dry. I use the Sally Hansen Salon Effects. They're like stickers. Love them!

Sorry but I'm not much help for suggestions on your last day - not sure I would suggest doing what I do - cry!! :rotfl2: Our last 2 trips we have had a CRT breakfast but I'm kinda over that as well.

Glad to see the necessary pre-trip beauty rituals are booked! :upsidedow

I just can't have anything on my finger nails! It drives me nuts! My MIL paid for me to get a manicure in May and it literally didn't even last a day lol!

Oh there will be tears!! Did I mention that I will have to say goodbye to my hubby at the airport as well? The next time I will see him is in December!

Anything in the parks is unfortunately out! Unless hubby decides he had so much fun and wants to go back next year... in which case he would have upgraded to an AP and we could go to a park! I would definitely spend my last morning in MK if I could! But I am deluding myself if I even think that is possible lol!

Of course I had to book the Pre-trip stuff! Can't go to Disney with half-gray hair and no pedicure!!

More changes coming!! The TA calendar was updates with some new hours!!

Just when I think I have my plans all figured out it gets changed again!!

My biggest upset was they changed the MK opening time on 10/14. It was supposed to be 9am. Now it is 8am so my 8:05am ADR at CP is no longer a pre-park opening ADR! Super Disappointing! Thankfully when I was planning 6 months ago I had thought we might do a Sweet Sunday on this day so I had booked an 8:15 am for 10/21 just in case... Well I am lazy and I never cancelled that one! Thankfully the opening time for the 21st is still 9am!!

Score one for the person who loves to book ADR's and then not cancel them!

Now I'm not sure what we will do for breakfast on the 14th...

There are more changes to my dining line-up but I will get to those at another time!

Bummer :( The park hour change worked out well for me because they extended the hours during Columbus Day weekend. So on our last night MK is open until 3 AM with two MSEP scheduled. We have an ADR in Epcot so now we don't have to rush over to MK to catch the parade.
