So here is my question.... This song drives most adults up the wall crazy. It's like an ear-worm that's immune to every form of obliteration.

However, a number of years ago they came out with a more modernized version of the song that's actually quite good - it's as if they found a real awesome band and told them to just jam the tune. It's got a really good trumpet solo, some jazz and swing in it, etc.

Why did they never update the ride to use the new music? It surely wouldn't be that hard to eject the old soundtrack and put the new one in over it?

Last trip, we went on the ride last at about 11 pm. My kids think it's the scariest ride on Disney property - so we didn't ride it all day. My 4yo grandson kept asking me what it was so we decided to ride on it at the end of the day. Our daughter reluctantly went along. He LOVED it. He kept pointing out different scenes to her. I laughed the whole ride!

I think Sharky and Bones need to redo the PoTC music, and Selena Gomez/The Biebs handle Grim Grinning Ghosts. Not.

More modern may or may not be better, but imposed on top of a classic attraction would be disjointed at best.

Get real, that's just plain silly. They would use One Direction for the Grinning Ghosts.

or limited time magic... they play "It's a small world" on RnRC and an Aerosmith cover of "It's a Small World" on small world ride.
