I don't know if this will help anyone decide when to visit, but I read on rumor boards that it a small world attraction will be closed fro refurbish from June 2004 to Jan 2005. My DD is going to be very upset as we are going in Sept.

and for our DS, that's his favorite after Buzz Lightyear (or "Likeyear" as he is know in our neighborhood). I am hoping this rumor turns out to be false (or at least for the refurbishment to be done by the time we arrive in November).

This ride needs a "Refurb" in the worst way. We were there a few weeks ago and there were huge pieces of the ceiling missing or rotted out. Very unusual for a Disney attraction.

I wonder if they are going to drain the water and collect the change. DS has to throw some $ in there every trip. Also if they do collect it, I would like to know what the amount is.
I love usless WDW facts if you cant already tell.

I agree, of all the attractions I think this one needs refurbishing the most. I wonder if they will change anything or just give a fresh coat of paint to it and fix those ceiling holes. The whole attraction looks very unkept. We will definitely miss it on our Oct. trip, it's a great way to rest those tired feet.

Also, I think the little boat ride in Mexico @ EPCOT, could use a little updating. The little film they show looks very early 80's, does anyone know what I' m referring to?

i had read somewhere it would not be back up until march 2005
i hope they get it done earlier than january.....we all LOVED that ride and would really be dissapointed if we could not go on it.....fyi, we did consider for a few days about postponing our trip.....but then that would brings to the warmer parts of the year in WDW and we for sure dont want to go to WDW if the temps are over 80 degrees.

I'm really going to miss this ride in June - it's the one ride I remember riding (multiple times!) every single time I've been to WDW, dating back to the year the park opened! But I'm very glad they are taking the time to really fix it up. I'd rather miss it for one trip and see it in great shape the next time than have to see it in disrepair.

I know EXACTLY what you're referring to ! And I do agree that it DOES need updating; but in a weird way, I think I'd miss it (I know, strange).
