Yes, It's a Small World was originally built for the 64-65 NY World's Fair. It was sponsored by Pepsi. You had to pay to ride it, not sure if it was 50 cents or $1. And I think the money went to UNICEF.

Probably the best worlds fair that ever existed.

I just asked DM about it never put 2 + 2 together .
I knew my father took DM and DB to world fair but I was in Utero ( SP) on it's a Small world.

This explains my addiction to Disney I must have aborbed that song into my bloodstream.

I was there, but too young to remember IASW. I remember the HUGE hot dog mobile for Oscar Myer hot dogs, because they gave all the kids free whistles

Wow, I am suprised at the price, 50 cents or 1 dollar was worth so much more in 1964. I know "super" grade gasoline was lass than 25 cents a gallon in 1964.

Wow thanks for bringing back some great memories! I was 7 and my DB 17. I was absolutely hooked on IASW! I got the record that day ( remember 45's?) and drove my brother nuts! Even when we were adults any time he found something that played that song he would get it for me! Does anyone remember the strange hairdos in wild colors? Don't remember the sponser but they freaked my little self out!
