"I got you a little something." Justin reached into his pocket.

"You did?"

"Yeah." He pulled out a diamong necklace and showed it to me.

"It's beautiful." I was blushing and shaking with excitement.

"Wanna put it on?" He asked me, looking deep into my eyes.

"Yeah." I nodded pulling my hair back so he could put the necklace on easier.

"I love it." I felt like I was on cloud 9.

"Yeah?"

"Thank you." I softly kissed Justin on the cheek.

"Ugh, Kenz, is that your dad?" Justin looked up and pointed to the man climbing up the fire escape.

"Oh sh'oo't." the words left my mouth in total shock. I looked back at Justin and he looked worried and a little angry.

"MAKENZIE ANN!" My dad's loud voice boomed, shaking the fire escape, "WHAT THE HE'ck' ARE YOU DOING WITH THIS BOY?" My dad grabbed me by the arm and pulled me down the fire escape, all while giving Justin the nasty look I've ever seen. I was in shock, I didn't know what to say or do. I kept looking back at Justin, his face was filled with sadness.

My dad pushed me into the back of his car and climbed into the drivers seat.

"You'll never see him again, Makenzie. NEVER AGAIN." My dad's words rang in my ear and sent a shot of pain down my spine. I looked out the car window and up the fire escape to see if I could get one last look at Justin.

"Best thing I ever did was install that GPS tracking device on your phone. I knew you were sneaking around with that da'ng' boy. What did I tell you Makenzie- WHAT DID I TELL YOU?! Did you not think that your school wasn't going to call and say you were absent from school today? WERE YOU NOT THINKING MAKENZIE? You disobeyed your parents and now... now you'll never see him again. Do you understand that?" My dad was outraged, he was yelling the loudest I've ever heard him yell.

I didn't reply. I just kept looking back. My hand reached for the necklace Justin had just given me. And I started crying. I started bawling.

I wasn't paying any attention to what was going on around me, and neither was my dad.
