Hey good luck! I remember writing the thesis. Ugh. It became known as the d@#! thesis in my house. Took 9 months of my life. Just think -- you're over the biggest hurdles of research and starting the writing process. You'll get there!

yep but my dining room table looks like an explosion in a library. There are books, papers, and index cards everywhere. I don't see an end in sight.

Sending energy your way. Chapter 3 is great, keep going. You write your best- think about it as the advisor just wants it to be perfect (and it never will be 100% perfect... we all know that)

Tips? Pointers? I have mine due next December (well the requested due date is next December)

Fortunately, since it's a Master's progam, I'm able to fudge a little and use tapes of kids from a current project that isn't my own. I wouldn't be able to do it if I had to find the kids myself and spend time working with them.

My advisor was great with me. This is a combination bachelors/masters thesis. A few are selected to do this and you receive grad school credit for it. I'm doing it on the first wreck/salvage divers, treasure hunters in the late 60's early 70's to use scuba gear. It is on how they transitioned into legitimate operations able to work with historians and their contribution to the new field of marine archaeology.
