Hey all..1st merry Xmas and if u get an itouch like we did Get the itouch app for disboards...I'm on my itouch now posting this...worth the $5 for it...u can even check DVc stuff

What's the difference between the actual disboard application and just using the regular site? I have this site bookmarked and can read/post just like my regular computer (using my touch to write this message). Is there something that the app does that the regular site doesn't?

Use the site just like on a PC. It has tons of info on WDW, DVC Calculator, and you can login to the Disboards, read and post from your Itouch. Its great.

mrudman,
I finally purchase the Eticket AP vs just going to the site using safari. The biggest differences I have noticed are The Dis board pages are formated to the correct iPhone size and no banners (commercials) or signature blocks. If I go to another AP, I have to log back in and it takes me back to the main Dis page.

When I use the safari link, I have to resize the pages to read them (when opening a new thread), but it stays on the page if I use another AP.

We just received an iTouch, and we loaded the eTicket app and the DVC iPlanner app onto it. We've still playing around with both apps but we haven't found any major bugs or glitches. I like the way eTicket formats and displays the disboard threads. The only difference I've noted on the iTouch version is that the signature line icons, pics, and countdown tickers do not appear. Your avatars, however, do appear.

As someone else mentioned on another thread, eTicket has a point calculator for 2010. However, it does not have the actual point charts. The iPlanner app has charts showing the seasons for each resort and also has a point calculator. I'm curious to see if eTicket and iPlanner offer updated versions when the 2011 point charts are released by Disney.

Thanks for asking this as I had been wondering the same thing. I think I'll give the app a shot:earsboy:

y.

I think I'll just stick to using safari for now then. Like seeing everyone's signatures and countdowns. Thanks for the info everyone!

Try out DVC Planner, not iPlanner. With DVC Planner, you'll be able to make DVC vacations and save them. Check it out. DVC Planner.

That with all the Itouch, Iphone and Disney Apps out there, you will see wifi in the parks soon

I hope so...

I already have the WDW Dining and Wait Time Apps on my Itouch and I would LOVE it if i was able to access WiFi while waiting on lines, etc.

Rob :)

I received the I Touch for Christmas. I've played around with it a little bit, but I have NO idea how to get the apps you guys mentioned..(Disboards, Eticket, DVC) I have "searched" them on the apps store but they don't come up. Can someone help this I Touch newbie?
Thanks!!

Since Itouch is not a phone with AT&T or another provider service, how do you access the internet if not at home on my wireless network? Like at WDW?

You have to be in a WIFI area to use it.

I got one for Christmas too, but I also am having trouble finding the DVC and DIS apps on the I-tunes site.

I have not had goodluck with e ticket, it keeps freezing my itouch. I do also like d point, it is very basic point calculator. To find most of these simply go to app store on the bottom of the screen, then hit search and type in DVC. 4 apps come up with that search. You must have Internet access to do this though. Good luck!

This is a great question. Our daughter has an IPhone and tried to find the app for the ETicket the other night and had the same problem as you are. She would love to know what she is doing wrong for it not to come up.

There was an error with the E-ticket app due to the calender change from 2009 to 2010. I heard it was being worked on, and the app was taken down until it was fixed. I'm not sure if it is back up yet.

Click on the app store icon on your iPod Touch or iPhone and then on the search tab. Search for dvc and several apps should pop up.

Personally, I like DVC Planner as it's the only app that lets me save vacation data.

Thanks for the info. I will relay the message to our DD and get her to try again.

Fyi, you need to put the letters dvc in for search. When I Put in the whole "Disney vacation club" nothing comes up;)
