what is the difference between the itouch and iphone... besides the phone part obviously!!

One thing to note is that the itouch web access only works where you have access to wifi. The iPhone has internet access wherever the phone works.

Not much beyond that. There are some variations in storage capacity options. Obviously there also are some differences in up front costs and the iPhone has ongoing cell phone service charges that the iTouch doesn't have.

The biggest difference is that because of the no phone thing, the iTouch requires that you have WiFi service to access the Internet. The iPhone can use WiFi or cell service to access the Internet, so you can connect in more places.
