I know a lot of you have the iTouchs. DD just got hers and I wonder if we need a screen protector? It's really gotten a lot of fingerprints already and I'm worried about scratches. I saw 2 at Target for $19 and there are generics on Ebay...any suggestions?
TIA

I have a iphone with a screen protector that I love. Its made of Teflon and is virtually indestructable. It cost about 25.00 but it lasts forever and if you have a problem with it they will replace it free of charge. Its called Invisible shield by Zagg. I think it has saved my screem more times than I know.

There are also other ones at Radioshack from Gigaware (their brand). They are pre-cut for the iTouch. I think they came in a pack of 3. Some of the cases also come with a few screen protectors too.

Yes, I would say you should get one. I put one on all of ours before we even use them. I would get one that is precut for the IPod touch, so you don't have to try to cut out the circle for the button. I got mine at the Apple store and Target. With something as expensive as the Touch, I think I would just buy a good one at the store rather than a cheaper one on ebay.

I bought the Belkin 3 Pack Clear Screen Overlay at Target for my daughter's Touch. She has had one on since April with no problems. I don't think they were more than $ 10-12 per pack.

I saw a bunch of cases at TJMaxx/Marshalls yesterday that were around $7 and came with a protective screen.

Don't know about screen protectors, BUT I would highly recommend that you purchase the extended warranty if you still have the chance. We did not purchase the warranty which would have only been $20. Sunday, the iPod somehow ended up out of our car and was found in the parking lot - the screen cracked like crazy. Sure wished we had the warranty.

I got the three year warranty for her at squadetrades. I did see the Belkin 2 pk at Target for $19.00. I will stop in at Radio Shack and check it out tomorrow. I'm thinking of getting her a case for Christmas too.

I got the screen protectors from the Apple store - $15 for two. It's been six months and I'm still using the first one.

Just my fingerprints were bugging me, but since I knew that DD6 was going to be using it sometimes it was absolutely required.

I bought ours from Bodyguardz.com. They actually make a full body protection but I bought the screen only. They have a lifetime replacement and once you buy one you get a 20% discount on the site for everything else. I've bought these for my kid's Gameboys and our Blackberry's as well with the discount.

These are very tough too. I cycle and had my Blackberry in my jersey pocket which is in the small of your back. One day last summer I fell and landed right on my back. The screen protector was scuffed up pretty good but when I removed it my actual screen was fine.

Go to their home page and see where they were tested in a bag of keys, nails, etc on a video.

I got an iTouch for Christmas last year and bought this leather case from Amazon for it. I LOVE this case! It doesn't have a screen protector, but the cover folds over and keeps the iTouch safe when you're not using it. It has a little pocket in it that fits the fabric screen cleaner that comes with the iTouch, so the fingerprints can be wiped off easy. I've been using this case for almost a year now and would definitely buy another one. There are a bunch of sellers selling it on Amazon. I've even dropped my iTouch a few times on the tile floor :scared1: but have not had a problem!

While I had to cut mine, I didn't cut a circle for the circle button. I just did the scree. I got skins for the actual ipod Touch.

I got my case (iPhone) from Ifrogz which came with a protector. We bought their cases for our phones, nano and 30gb video and have been happy.

I got mine at the Apple Store. Have had it almost a year - no problems!
