Itinerary question--getting to Summer nights?

We arrive in Orlando on Sat Aug 10 around mid-day, after a brutally early start. (Not transatlantic or anything, but we will be in the air by 5:30 am Florida time, so factor a couple of hours before that at least.)

Sun Aug 11 is the last day for 2013 Summer Nights...the last opportunity for us to see whatever makes "Summer Nights" special--there are different shows I believe? Are there always fireworks at the end of the evening, or just during Summer Nights?

I understand crowds at SW are higher on weekends, so we weren't actually planning to visit until Monday or Tuesday. But if we can get into our villa and shower and change, rest up a little, do you think it's worth it to head out on Saturday evening for the last couple of hours of the day? (Closes at 10 that day I believe.) Or on Sunday? Normally we do what we can to avoid crowds, but maybe we'll regret the chance to see whatever makes Summer Nights special? We have 14 day passes, so it's not like we're using up a day just for a few hours. What do you think?

If we are truly knackered, we probably will just crash. But sometimes you've got so much adrenaline that you're finally *there*, that you might as well go do something.

I guess, since you have 14 day passes, I'd see how everyone is feeling. We really enjoyed the summer night show, as we could only catch it one night. Though the crowds were heavier that day, did not matter, we still had good seats at the shows. Most of the shows you can take food in, so we do that too. So, if you don't do it your first night, try the second night.

Maybe all rest/relax until dinner, then eat at a quick service place in the park and enjoy looking around and getting the "lay of the land" before enjoying the night shows.

We generally take a very early flight too, and most of the time, we just chill at the pool in the afternoon, find a nice place to eat, then relax, play a round of golf or more swimming. We are usually tired that first night.

Have a great time!

There are some fun night shows but any day the park closes late they have those. Like shamu rocks and sea lions tonite. The fireworks yes are for summer nights only.

I would see how everyone is doing but I don't think you will be disappointed to go over for a few hrs and see a few things.

Thanks, it sounds like it's worth trying, but not killing ourselves over! I do hope we get to do it though.
