We are going to MNSSHP for the first time this year. I would love to have the picture taken first thing when we arrive. Here is my question(s): Where are the pictures taken? and Do they give you an itinerary of events and times when you arrive at the gate? I would hate to be on a ride or in line when the Headless Horseman takes his ride!

Thanks
Kim

When you enter the park, they will have special park maps for the party with the locations of the Trick or Treating and the photos and other activities.

We always get ours taken right away before it's busy usually near It's a Small World or by Liberty Tree Tavern. They tend to get busy after that until late at night. There are probably about 6 locations to get your picture taken.

The Headless Horseman ride is RIGHT before each parade so if you are sitting ready to watch the parade, you will not miss him although it can be very dark. It does happen very fast as well but it's so cool!

Thanks for the info. Its very helpful to know there are several picture locations and a map to find them. We will do this first thing and we will be there at the right time waiting for the Headless Horseman. Can't wait it sounds so cool! Thanks again!

Kim,
Here is the map from last year. The cameras mark where pictures are taken.

Also, we arrived before the party started last year and it seems everyone flooded straight for the photo booths. We waited until later in the night and walked right up to the booth in Liberty Square just as people were getting their spots for the second parade.

We loved our picture. What a nice job they did. We had to wait in line but the line went fairly quickly. The party maps are great. Very detailed and tons of info. Make sure to grab one as soon as you get into MK. Have fun at MNSSHP! We'll be there too. Wouldn't miss it.

ARe the back grounds at each picture taking station the same , or are they different? And if they are different, what are they and which one did you like the best?

Rides and attractions open last year, from memory, were everything but the entire Mickey's Toon Town, CoP, TimeKeeper, Tiki Room, and I think Hall of Presidents and the Swiss Family Tree House

Toontown was, indeed, open last year for MNSSHP and there were at least 3 trick or treat stations there as well. Very festive!

I know how it is...I get MNSSHP and MVMCP confused too and at MVMCP Toontown wasn't open but for MNSSHP it is!;)

Are there special shows scheduled during MNSSHP? If so, can someone post the schedule from last year?

Anyone know if the CMs will allow one party to have a log at Splash Mountain to themselves?

We are going the the party on Oct.5, DS's 12th birhtday.:bounce:
I have a PS at LTT for 5:00. I want to get a picture of just the two of us on Splash Mountain with our costumes.

Can we leave LTT before 7:00, say 6:45-6:55? Do most people tend to go right to the Haunted Manison and photo stations?
Do you think it's possible for my plan to work?

That's a cool idea about the photo with the b-day boy in costume! Hope it works out for you!!!

Angey77 Thanks for the map! It helps me get a feel for things even if they do change them a bit for this year.

Special shows and parades, this is what they had last year:
Boo-To-You Parade - A special parade for the little ones to show off their costumes with a character - 7:30, 9:30 and 10:15
Adults and Children Trick-or-Treat
Fortune Tellers in Adventureland
Halloween Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks at 9:15
Halloween Riverboat Ride - with strolling musicians and characters - 7:15, 8:15, 9:35, 10:20, and 11:30
Diamond Horseshoe Saloon Halloween Revue - 7:30, 8:30, 9:20, 10:15 and 11:05 (not sure if this will be this year, since it now houses Goofy’s New Country Dance Party)
Donald's Pumpkin Patch - located behind the Christmas Shop in Liberty Square
Cinderella's Coach - set up behind the castle (this is REALLY cool)
Cinderella's Surprise Celebration - the same show as shown during the day (don't remember time)

It doesn't hurt to ask for an individual log, I'm sure the CMs will oblige, especially for someone's birthday.
We arrived in the park last year without a PS at 6:30 and everyone was corralled onto Main Street to shop, trick-or-treat and such, so you're ok leaving LTT early. In fact, I'd encourage it to get the shopping for commemorative pins and t-shirts done early since they go pretty fast (at least the pins).
