Just got off the phone with DCL - She confirmed the change and told me the itineraries were loaded in the system but nothing could be booked yet because prices arent loaded yet.

I specifically asked about the 8/20/05 repositioning cruise and she was able to give me the itinerary

8/20 Los Angeles
8/21 At Sea
8/22 Cabos San Lucas
8/23 At Sea
8/24 Acapulco
8/25 At Sea
8/26 Puerto Quetzal
8/27 At Sea
8/28 Panama Canal
8/29 Panama Canal
8/30 Curacao
8/31 At Sea
9/1 At Sea
9/2 Castaway Cay
9/3 Port Canaveral

She did say they were getting alot of faxes from TA's for their clients that wanted category 1's and 2's for the new itineraries so If thats what you are looking for - for any of the california itineraries I would suggest having your TA's get your request in soon.

She also said that TA's were not being given priority to booking and that after 1PM tomorrow reservations would begin and that she thought the deposit amount of $250 pp would be the same

Thanks for sharing this info. I have put in a request with DU for this cruise. Waiting for tomorrow to see how much this will cost me...... :D

Yes 1PM EST.

I have my request in with DU.. I sure hope its one of the ones already at DCL.

My DH who doesnt usually get excited about these things thought the itinerary looked awesome. Lots of sea days to relax.

Now lets just hope that all this hype we have given them doesnt drive the price through the roof

Wow - thanks for the info!

We have a request into DU for this one as well. Anybody know what the process will be? Is there any advantage to talking to DCL directly?

Nobody knows nothin'! Them CM's are shut-up tighter than Rabbit's hole when Pooh got stuck!! *ok, put down the meds and step away from the computer*

Seriously, sounds like once the prices get loaded things should be back to 'normal' for those sailing dates. Whether or not DCL is going to give one group preferential treatment, we'll see, but I doubt it.

Oops! Missed this the first time around. *It's gotta be the meds*

I was told by CM today that the prices and everything would be loaded on the website, however, he thought it would probably get overloaded and crash for awhile. He said he was off tomorrow and then in training for the next two days so he lucked out!

1 pm EST is what he told me.

I bet the Internet servers will crash & burn, and the phone lines will probably do the same as well. :(

Yeesh, normally I'm not such a pessimist.

I would love to get this one booked!!! We booked onboard 2 weeks ago with the plan to move the ressie to this repositioning cruise.

As of 1:00 tomorrow, it will be "step away from the phone and no one gets hurt!". I don't care how long I have to hold!!

Thank you for Posting this! I have put in a request with another TA after not getting even a computer generated response back from DU after 2 emails over the last week. Hopefully I will get a Cat 9 room for my Mom, DD and me. It will be DD's B'day cruise...she wanted to go to Egypt but I convinced her it is too hot in the summer, LOL and also the first time being back in the states in 2yrs (we currently are living in Germany). I am a little concerned about prices and hope it isn't too expensive.

If the early excitement is any indication, I, too, am concerned this is going to be an expensive cruise. I'm willing to pay the rumored prices ($1400-$1800 pp cat 11) but anything north of $150-$200 per person, per day ain't going to happen for me.

While the repositioning cruise will be unique, there are other repositioning cruises for a lot less money. I can get my Magic fix off season on the regular sailings when it's cheaper.

Hear! Hear! We're signed up for a 5 day NCL repo cruise in September, one of the ports being San Francisco, at a cost of $100/person-day for a balcony room. I thought the RCCL rates someone else posted in the last couple of days were particularly interesting as well - nearly twice as much for the Disney Magic vs an RCCL Voyager class ship. I don't expect to see any bargains tomorrow.
