Itinerary Advice Needed

You guys have been a great resource this far, so maybe you can help me once more...

We'll be at the parks Monday (11/6) - Thursday (11/9). Since Mondays tend to be more crowded, would it be wise to spend Monday in DCA and the other days in DL? As much as I hate the thought of not spending our first day in DL, I'd rather go there when it's less crowded. The kids have never been, so it's all going to be new to them.

I've also noticed they've just extended both park hours on Thurs (11/9), so they must be expecting big crowds that day. Maybe that would be the day to visit DCA.

If you have park hoppers, I recomend DL early in the day- get there a little before opening. Then mid day head over to DCA. Then if head back to DL for the evening shows.

Due to the Veterans Day Weekend, they are expecting large crowds later in the week. That's why the extended hours on Thursday. Not sure if Wednesday will get extended or not.

I'd say go ahead and start in DL on Monday. If it gets out of hand, then head over to DCA or take a swim break.

As mentioned by earlier posters - the best bet is to start as soon as the park opens at DL. Have a plan on what main rides you want to hit, grab some fastpasses (good anytime after the "return time"), and then head to DCA as the park gets busy. If you can get to DL at least 45 minutes prior to open - many days they will let you through the gates 30 minutes prior. You then must wait at Main Street for the rope to drop - but you can get a good hour at least of no lines and hit a couple of big rides - or the kiddie rides without fast pass. We just went, were there 5 days, and park hopped every single day - it is such a short distance between the two it is not a bad "hop" at all!
