Welcome to the Dis! I haven't stayed at FW, but I understand they have a great buffet on property. To get you started, check the menus on Deb Will's Site to see what appeals to your family. You can always search or ask questions here to find out more about a specific restaurant. Enjoy your planning, that's 1/2 the fun for me!

If you're looking for sit down meals, and with the ages of your kids I would recommend Chef Mickey's at CR, Cinderella's Gala Feast at 1900 Park Fare GF, O'Hana's at the Poly for dinner. FOr lunch I would say Sci-Fi at MGM, Crystal Palace at MK. If you want a good fast food lunch at MK I would recommend Columbia Harbor House.

Hi Warf, welcome to the DIS! Your plans look great so far; here are a couple of suggestions for your ???? areas:

Sunday lunch at MK: You'll probably want to have counter service at MK since you'll be having a big dinner. There are some great counter services at MK; a few of our favorites are Pecos Bill's, Columbia Harbour House, and Casey's Hot Dogs.

Monday: Lunch at AK pretty much as to be counter service, unless you want to eat at Rainforest Cafe. That's okay though, because AK has some good CS. We like Pizzafari for just a quick lunch. I've also read many great reviews of Tusker House. For dinner, since AK closes early I'd highly recommend trying Trail's End Buffet at Ft. Wilderness.

Tuesday lunch at MGM: There aren't many good choices for counter service at MGM, but since it's wife's birthday you might want to try a sit-down anyway. Depending on your wife's tastes, take a look at Sci Fi, 50's Prime Time, and Brown Derby. If she's a sci fi fan at all, we highly recommend burgers and shakes at Sci Fi - very fun!

Wednesday lunch and dinner at Epcot: There are so many great choices at Epcot for dining, I'd suggest just reading the menus at Deb Wills' site and the reviews here on the DIS Boards. With just a couple of exceptions, you can't go wrong eating at Epcot, whether it's counter service or sit-down.

Thursday at TL: You'll probably either want to take a cooler for lunch at TL or just grab a quick bite there. Then, for dinner you might want to consider one of the resort restaurants. 'Ohana at the Poly or Chef Mickey's are always very good choices.

Hope that helps!

Hey all,

Thanks for the helpful hints.

This will be my first trip down since the early 70s, when only the Magic Kingdom was there, as well as you had to have individual tickets for the rides!

We did go to DLP a few years ago, and we are really looking forward to WDW.
