Italy or Germany ABD?

Hi all! Family of 6 (kids ages 16, 13, 11 and 8). Which itinerary do you all think would be better for those ages? Thank you!

Out of the Northern Italy/Switzerland and Germany trips, I preferred Italy. But both were great.

Hi all! Excited to see the responses on this thread. Just signed my family up for our first ABD, which is also our first trip to Europe. We're traveling with our 14 year old daughter. I'll be honest, she's not excited about it, but I'm reminding myself that when I was her age, I had no interest in Europe either. But I want her to see other countries and learn more about life outside the US. I think it'll be good for her. If you want your kids to have someone to hang out with, check out Italy (Rome, Tuscany, Florence and Venice) for June 16th - 23rd 2020 trip and your kids will have my daughter to hang out with at least! Perhaps we can sip wine while they enjoy the pool! Happy planning!

Good way to look at it. I also have a 13- almost 14-year-old daughter and I can completely understand your sentiment here. Luckily my girls have been on many ABDs and now trust that they will be fun, and they always appreciate having other kids to spend time with, and we appreciate the adult-time while the kids do their own thing sometimes.
