We'd like to go to Italy next summer using Interval International to stay at a World Passport Collection resort. Has anyone had experience with this?
Easy to book? Advice?

We're also planning a Rome/Tuscany trip within next 2 years. I've looked online at the Golf Residence ll Pelagone in Gavorrano, but would LOVE to hear first hand experiences.

Lets see. Try not to go down south Italy. If you must, keep your hands in your pockets when getting off buses etc or they will be emptied out by the others around you. If you see a noisey child check your purse, pockets and bags as its probably a distraction technique to steal from you. Make sure your wife keeps her purse inside her coat at all times and if you see a motor scooter riding towards you, get out of reach of the driver. The current sport is to try and rip ear-rings out of womens ears from a moving bike!

Horrible place Naples and surrounding areas! You have been warned.

We've been to italy, but did not book through DVC. Personally, I think you can do much better by booking something through an agency in Italy.

My daughter went with 13 co-workers last summer. They rented a villa near Siena and had a wonderful time.

The II location in Gavorrano is probably very nice, but it's not near any major cities or sites you might want to visit.

We booked a cottage in Castellina in Chianti for two weeks in October through the same agency my daughter used. So far they have been very helpful and easy to work with. I'll let you know more when we return.

We'll be flying to Barcelona on September 23rd; boarding the Emerald Princess for a 12-day Med cruise on the 26th; on October 8th we disembark in Venice and drive to Tuscany.

We'll be staying about 45 minutes south of Florence. We spent three days there on our last trip...certainly not enough time. From our base in Castellina in Chianti we'll drive to Florence, Siena, Pisa, Cinque Terra, San Gimignano, and others.

If anyone is interested in the name of the agency we are using, PM me and I'll be happy to provide contact info.
