I read this tip somewhere on these boards before our trip, and I tell you ... it was one of the best decisions we made on our own trip. We got a fanny pack for each of our children. Each morning before we went into each park we filled snack-sized baggies with pretzels, goldfish, fig newtons, peanuts (their favorite), raisins. They also had sunglasses in there, and my daughter had a disposable camera.
All day they just munched away happily and we weren't nagged to buy snacks. When we did get snacks a few times, they were spontaneous and a true treat ... not because everyone was starving.
Each afternoon we took a break back at the timeshare for a nap, and the kids didn't even eat lunch because of their full tummies (of basically nutritious snacks). An early dinner reservation (4:30pm) and we were fine and two meals a day.
