A little note about Peggy's Sweets And More...

As of September 1st, I will no longer be accepting orders. I will fullfill the orders I have already contracted to do. Although I love making custom baskets for people who love Disney as much as I do, real life is getting in the way and it will no longer be possible.

My daughter is an actor and has had some opportunities presented recently that we would like to persue. Due to the nature of the acting business, I have to be available to take her where she needs to go whenever it is required. I cannot do that and continue to ensure that my clients receive their gift baskets as contracted.

In addition, since my baskets are custom designed to suit each client, I spend a great deal of time on the road looking for supplies and making deliveries. With the recent increase in fuel prices, I cannot sell my baskets without a price increase. I've already heard comments that my baskets are to "pricey". After a year and a half, I was just beginning to break even on this business. I can't justify continuing it without a price increase and I don't feel people would be interested in paying more.

So, I want to thank all of you who have ordered from me. I so appreciated all of the very nice comments I received from you about my work. I hope one day to start working in the floral business. Perhaps you'll order flowers from me!

I will still be around The DIS Board on occassion. I'll see you there my friends!

Oh I am so sorry to hear that you are not going to continue selling your baskets. I have been selling things like crazy on ebay to buy one for my son for our trip in January. I've yet to find anything close to how awesome your baskets are. I completely understand and think it is a wonderful thing that you are so supportive in your daughters career. God bless.

Thank you for the wonderful Polynesian basket you did for my husband this past July. You truly went out of your way to customize it for me! We have the Tiki on our mantle and the coconut candle in our bathroom! And we're still working our way through the candy!

Terrific news about your dd Peggy!!! She is very lucky to have a mom like you that would put her own life aside for a bit in order to help her out. I understand about the boxes and the prices going up. Yes, your work was maybe a bit more expensive than other 'services' but the personalizaton you gave to each one made it worth every penny. Thank-you from my dd and my dh..your boxes gave them much joy. I'm looking at the Farmer Mickey you put in dh's Father's Day box as I sit at the computer. DH keeps it on his bureau.
